Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2013-2014 - Rocking The Ritter One Last Time <<<<<

Weather report for tomorrow - a HIGH of 19, and snow, possibly heavy at times. Yup no chance whatsoever of rain, its going to be a true back to its roots outdoor "pond style" hockey game with questionable ice(puck wont move so fluid with the snow obviously), wind and snow. I am actually looking forward to seeing how these guys play in it. Should be fun to watch! I have played in many of the Labatt blue pond hockey tournaments, when it was freezing and snowing. Its a fun change actually, something about having to persevere the elements and conditions to get the win.

I was getting worried about the weather, wondering if maybe it would be so cold I couldn't enjoy it...

Then I saw this picture and remembered how awesome and unique this is going to be.

Back to being pumped!

Anybody know if they're going to auction off or sell those Jerseys? They are AWESOME.

I'm having trouble deciding if I want one of these jerseys or one of the commemorative home jerseys.

Last I knew they are looking to auction them off on the internet like in the past.

Commemorative ones are definitely nicer IMO, and have a more significant meaning. Wonder if they will auction both..

I assumed they would.. and I agree, more meaning.... but those FF jerseys are slick.

What's the best way to ensure that I don't miss this auction (as I apparently have most of the ones in the past)?

Email Jeff Siegel (sp?). He's their equipment manager and I believe the person who has organized their usual equipment clearances.

Jeff doesn't coordinate the auctions. When/if those come around, RIT will send out lots of emails and the various social networking sites for RIT will post it as well. It'll be hard to miss.

The jerseys they are wearing at all home games this year. They are a special design to commemorate the final season at Ritter.

****. I kind of want a ladies one more than a Mens...

I think I agree ... but I do like that gray one. Seems they might be doing a fair bit of auctioning this year to raise funds for the Polisseni.

Sheesh, if they're going to do that, they should publicize it more. They're beyond awesome and ought to be the permanent design, in my opinion. They look sharp.

I did go looking once to see if I could find a pic of old RIT sweaters, wondering if these were based on an old design, but I came up empty. Anyone have any ideas?

Thompson's going to be finding himself sitting out the next couple of games at least for that brain dead hit.

Attendance of 4,760 reported during the broadcast. What was the atmosphere like, for those who were there?
