What the hell does this mean?

Powers &8^]

That the corner crew can't do say/cheer of what they want to (or used to) because of the administration, so they cater to what the administration wants...

I heard that there were a lot of complaints about the corner crew's profanity at blue cross - I didn't really notice it.

HAHA Thank you so much for this Quote!! The Corner Crew think they are a big vicious force, but they are really just a dancing puppet of the administration. Apparently old cats can't learn new tricks either.

You don't have to be vulgar or offensive to be loud. We've been complimented all over the Div1 landscape for our fans, especially how vocal and dedicated they are on the road. I'm sorry that the 13 year old inside you is upset you can't talk like you're in middleschool anymore, but it's time to be an adult.

Wait... if you score on a delayed penalty you still get the penalty? *** NCAA.

This rule change took effect two years ago...

Looks like we can't maintain a lead...

But we can take penalties!

This is suspicious as hell. RIT goes up 2, Colgate gets 6 penalties and 5 goals in a row...

Don't try to assign blame anywhere but where it belongs - RIT.

You're not going to win very many games when you give up 6 goals...

Penalties killed the team tonight. Now that the October is over, we can look forward to a winning streak.

Nothing better than two games in Springfield to jumpstart a winning streak.

Just back from watching Penn State crush Army 5-0, I scoreboard watched the whole game, and got my hopes up when RIT was up 2-0, but that was short lived. Luckily by the end of the night my Army buddies seating near me couldn't rib me anymore about the RIT-Penn State game after they lost to the same team. BTW, Penn State took the same nasty game misconduct penalty (hitting from behind) at the end of the 3rd period as they did against Hamburg at the BCA. It was a different PSU player (the guy who did that in the RIT game wasn't on the ice tonight) but not cool when you see it two weeks in a row. They were up 5-0 at the time so, as a fan of the game, I didn't see the point of it all, but I guess that's hockey.

(Not so) fun fact: Thursday night's game was the first time RIT goalies were charged with 6 goals against in a single game at the Ritter since they lost to St. Lawrenece 6-3 in their very first year of D-1. It's only the 2nd time it's happened in RIT's D-1 history.

We're also giving up an astounding 5.2 goals a game right now (admittedly against an overall higher quality sample of teams)

Downstate -glad that your Army buddies eased up on you last night.

On a more serious note, that's actually the 3rd check-from-behind major in the first five games for our side and I know that has to have Guy Gadowsky concerned. It's certainly not his coaching style. We commented after Brooks' hit last night that both he and George Saad last week had more than enough time to pull the chute.

While not blaming those on the receiving end, we also spoke about how we old players were taught to not turn your back the way guys do today. Back in the day, we were taught to turn into a hit and try to absorb it or give the hitter a shoulder in return.

One of the problems with RIT is the amount of rebounds not taken care of by the dee. The forward arent covering in their own end and as you chant to the vis goalie 'thats not your fault"
So goalie may be a problem but its whats happening in front of him that should be of concern.

Seemed like a lot of penalties and PP goals this year but when looking at this time last year, this teams only slightly worse on allowing PP goals and have taken almost 40% less penalties.

Penalties
This season = 19
Last season = 32

PP Goals Allowed
This season = 8
Last Season = 7

Well considering we've taken a considerably smaller number of penalties, giving up more PP goals than at the same time last year is quite worrying.

The exact point I would have made, had I not been up all night!

But your right, giving up too many goals on the PP for the number of penalties taken. If the team can solve that riddle, then they should be able to right the ship.

Oh I agree. While the goalies are largely not coming up with the big save - and that is a slight concern - the youth/inexperience of the defense has been the much greater problem.

I only used the wording I did to exclude a handful of games that RIT gave up 6 at the Ritter but where the last goal was an empty-netter.

Downstate, what was your overall impression of Army? They seem like a bit of an enigma, playing a good Maine team really tough losing 4-3, then getting housed by Penn State.
