Nice work taking the Catamount Classic this weekend. Great for RIT and great for Atlantic Hockey.

So apparently there is no Catamount Cup. Talk about false advertising.

I saw the cup, but there was no one there to receive it. It was accepted on RIT's behalf because the team had already left three hours earlier.

But, if you read USCHO, you'd come to the same conclusion you did.

Do we get to bring it back? Will it be at the Ritter?

If you read USCHO, you'd never know the tournament existed, let alone the trophy.

Sad but true, not a lick of information about the results of the tourney. I suspect it will be written up this week though in the AHA column along with AFA's win over CC. Tigers should get some points in the polls this week too but Ferris State losing on Friday night to UVM doesn't help the cause. Looks like they (FS) are on a down hill slide.

A big 'Thank you!' to the Alumni Association for the pre-game get togethers. Had a good time Thursday.

Cya in Boston.

Would be nice - but it WILL be tough. They will have to play like they did in The Tournament that Will Not be Named ;)

Time Warner is giving its WNY customers Sports Pass for free in January ("compensation" for losing MSG); the package includes access to BTN2Go.com, which simulcasts the Big Ten Network online. Friday's Wisconsin game will be on BTN.

BTN is channel 240 in Rochester (245 in Syracuse, as I just set my DVR.) Too bad the deal doesn't extend to February, as the Air Force game will be broadcast on one of the Sports Pass stations as well.

I made an attempt at doing some sports photography at the Catamount Cup. I got shots from both RIT games and the UVM v. Ferris State game. Here they are: http://mdumont.smugmug.com/Hockey

Ferris State's losses to RIT and UVM dropped them to 17th from 11th (I would have guessed out of the poll.) LSSU's split with RIT and UVM dropped them to 18 from 16. RIT mustered 12 points.

(Maybe some of the voters didn't hear about the tournament?)

CC lost to AFA but they stayed in sixth......
DU beats AFA and DU moves up four......

Let the bias (east and west) begin....or continue : 0

Re: >> RIT Tigers 2011-12 Part II: Making Some Noise at the House that Roars <<

RIT needs more weekends like last week to deserve to be ranked. Not to mention that the poll is for entertainment purposes. RIT is in the 30s in the RPI and Krach so I would be reluctant to rank them based on that.
