The problem with that is they do end up with more short-handed situations than power plays very often. Despite the stats below showing the other team with more PIMS and RIT with more misconducts, RIT has also been short-handed 33 more times than on the power play.
RIT RARELY has that much more penalty minutes in a game than opponents. Yes, RIT could cut down on the retaliations, but at some point they need to defend themselves because the officials can't/won't call everything.
