Holy Crap!!!!! We don't have a chance. The only place we beat them is that we have a bunch of old men playing. Why are we even bothering to go to Detroit? :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hope their players and coaches spend lots of time over the next week studying this, and realize what a slaughter it's going to be. :D :D :D

They make that mistake and the Tigers will be playing hockey on Saturday. :) :)

Tom, those were some pretty good posts. Brings back lots of memories. I think i was at most if not all of those games mentioned....I could add tons more stories from over my time watching the Tigers (since 1991) and some would still call me a rookie...I cannot wait to get to Detroit. I'll be in section 236, right above the RIT section. At least i won't be driving back and forth to buffalo for kyle's games next weekend.

Keep your eyes open for some of the best RIT players ever in the crowd next thursday. I know some of my all time favorite players are going to be there along with one of my all time favorite player relatives......I hope ford field has plenty of orange on display in the stands......:)

Awesome. I hope I was completely wrong about the RIT section not selling out quickly. (I also ended up getting a ticket in one of the riser sections. I decided to go for a little closer to the action rather than farther away and amongst all the RIT fans. I'll also get to see/hear the fans from the other side, which will be nice.)

I hope everyone that wants them, gets tickets. Have a fun morning!!

200+ people in line now. Tickets go on sale in an hour...wouldn't be surprised if we have 300 by 7

I was about the 120th person to get a ticket....there are still about 200+ people in line.

By the way, I'm not positive, but I'm going to make a guess that if they haven't already they will sell out of all the tickets within the next hour or so.

Didn't MB say something about the school getting more tickets if they sold out? I sure hope they do, it is fantastic to see this kind of student support.

I believe that was mentioned, not sure how that is going to work with the people still in line though.

EDIT: All 600 tickets are gone. Sounds like the best bet now is trying to get some off the internet.

There are now reports of the tickets selling out. 600 tickets in 6 hours.

Couldn't hurt...may want to look into getting some more buses too...maybe not free but at least help the people without cars or transportation. I think we might be able to sell a couple hundred more.

Captain Obvious here, but there are still some very good tickets available on Ticketmaster (though not as good as last night) and Stubhub had a bunch too. Nobody's shut out yet.

That's the one advantage (against so many disadvantages, IMHO) of playing in a football stadium. For the past 10+ years, there has been a lottery for tickets, and they are gone with no general public sale. The only way to get tickets after the fact is though brokers or to be one of the lucky 600 seats that are held back for each participating school.

This year, they will be selling walk-up tickets. That hasn't happened to my knowledge since Cincinnati in 1996.

Just voted on the NHL.com poll asking "Who will win this year's Frozen Four?". I voted for RIT, and I love how the results currently stand at:

Boston College - 30.23%
RIT - 25.42%
Wisconsin - 24.58%
Miami - 19.77%

RIT is more favored to win that the #1 team in the nation? :cool: :p :rolleyes:
(Yes, I know these polls are as far from scientific as possible.)
