Mornin' everybody! Woke up to two inches of snow still on the ground..yuck. Also woke to a call saying the golf invite is cancelled.(Ya think?! Thank God.) Back to bed now!

Ctf, just think about when you get home though..you'll sleep for 15 hours:)

Can we cancel the tent sale my store is having, too? Seriously, who has a f*king tent sale in Duluth in April? I'm the new kid here and I know that's a bad idea.

I myself am a little bit confused why a store would schedule a tent sale this early in April, ESPECIALLY in duluth..:confused: bundle up diva!:)

And apparently, the guy who set up the financials for the poker sites (making the funds nearly untraceable to origin sources) got greedy, so the poker sites turned on him. Feds were looking for the financial guy, poker sites tipped the feds off when the financial guy was in the US, but then the financial guy flipped and turned into a rat and helped the feds shut down poker.

This blows.

back at yankee stadium for yanks/texa$. drinking for the 6th day in a row, although only a few of those were really drunk nights. hopefully the rain holds off in the ny metro until 4 or so.

I'm not fond of playing live poker, unless with friends. It's actually a whole different game, believe it or not.

I definitely believe it, is it easier to bluff online?

I'm a blackjack guy as of now, my buddies and I frequent Mystic Lake, I'm up like 400 bucks (which for me isn't too shabby..) and I only play with the money I've won, so once that fund runs dry I'm done with the casino frequenting.:p

Maybe Patman is right...:eek: Well ctf, hope you get home at some point! I don't know why, it's a stupid card came, but it's thrilling and somewhat addicting.:p

I heart blackjack so much.

Live poker you play the player more than you necessarily play the bets, range of hands, and such. Online is more betting patterns, possible time it takes to act (sometimes hard to do if the player has a slow connection), etc. Emotions and physicalities of the actual player is out of the question. I guess it's like noting the tone of a post on a message board vs having a live conversation and seeing the body language of a person making the same statement.

Makes sense I went through a phase at age 14 or so where my friends and I absolutely loved poker, we'd play it often, and frequently watch it on ESPN. It's definitely a fun game.

I often times get a thrill of just being at Mystic Lake and watching people play blackjack. You can always tell who's counting (or attempting to) and who has no fricken clue what they're doing, and just blows money out of their ***.

If you really want a challenge, play Razz Poker. Dealt like Stud Poker, but flushes/straights don't count. You want the worst hand, and Aces are low. Best hand (called "the wheel") is A2345. And a hand like 23456 is better than A2347, since the worst card in the first hand (6) is lower than the worst card in the second hand (7). It's a trip to play.

So, it is April 16th, correct? Then why does it feel like February 16th? So, so cold out.

Just got a manicure. Friends of Hockey Banquet tonight. I'm presenting one of the awards. I was going preface the award with a couple of trivia questions and award the winners the cheesy plastic goalie mask we got last Thursday and the Frozen Frour scarf that one of my Maine friends got at the Capital One truck during Fan Fest. But I'm too chicken to follow through on that. I may regale them with a tale or two of the escapades from last weekend, though.
