I
Then i got a call from the grandparents, they want to stop by for a visit on their way to the cabin. So i had to clean and put away the massive amounts of booze i had sitting on the counter.

Granny likes to tip a few eh?

More like he's probably trying to avoid the, "Do you have a problem?" talk. :p

Kinda reminds me of the story David Feherty told one day about his drinking:

He was at the doctor one day and none of the tests looked right. He finally told his doctor that he liked to drink a little bit, to the point where he had to get into the second fifth just to feel the first one.

The doctor looked at him and said, "Don't you think you should get some help?"

Feherty looked at him, dead serious, and said, "No, I can finish them all by myself." They weren't even on the same page.

At this point, they should be more concerned if there wasn't much alcohol. At least now they know that I didn't drink it.

Got home from the hairdresser to see that my thermostat was not working. I had no idea it ran on AA batteries. Thankfully I had some in the house.

Totally forgot to go to the dry cleaners this morning. I should walk up there now, and then come home to unpack from my two trips this month.

All right. Off to the store to grab some beer, and then headed to about 12-14 hours of SENANICANS!

It has been raining most of the day. About two hours ago the rain quit so I decided to power wash the kids play set. I was really into it and out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash then a loud bang! I decided it might be a good idea to get off the ladder. Just as I started to put everything away it started to hail.

Back from the track meet. I look like a French Fry. a little more sun than I thought.

Minnesota has settled into it's Springtime "rain every weekend" routine nicely.

Nice and sunny here. Felt good to run with the sun and a nice breeze at my back this morning.

Also, I'm still planning for my big Minnesota trip; on average, what's the weather like the first week of October?

It's still warm in October most of the time. Mid 60's half of the month.

Went to my bro's place to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary today. Got there around 3ish, and played with my preschool-age nieces. Ok, for the first hour it was fun.....then it was okay, and after 6 hours' worth.....I'm SO happy I have silence at Chez Rube. I was maybe planning on hitting TK's tonight with bbdl and PBS, but I think I would've asploded from noise overload.

Related: the drive from Minnetonka to a township north of Zimmerman is a hellish drive. Elk River sucks to drive through. It's 40 miles from my door to his, but it takes about an hour if you hit the lights right, and that's it being all highway from here to there. Yeah.

You know what I've got right now? The 'I had an espresso at 7pm after dinner because I was going to the opera and wanted to stay awake, and now it's the middle of the night and I'm still awake' thing.
