Getting ready to head to St. Pete and the Trop for this afternoons Yankees @ Rays game. Sitting front row 2nd level on the 3rd base side, should be great seats. Hopefully the Yanks decide to start earning their paycheck!!

Good Morning Lodge.

Went to my first Catholic Easter Vigil last night (and probably my last). I knew it would be long, but holy crap - 2.5 hours! There were two kids about 8 (twins) getting baptized and three adults converting getting confirmed, plus the usual Easter Vigil. Started at 8 and ended about 10:30. Then we had to stick around and chat since my wife heads the Eucharist Ministers and sponsored one of the converts and my son was altar server. Then I had to go home to prepare the turkey and pork shoulder for the smoker this morning. Too dam late for me.

For a Catholic Easter Vigil that's actually pretty swift and most are longer. There are a few exceptions, Fr. Malone used to get you in-n-out of the Church of The Assumption in 1.5 hours, which explains why his masses were always packed.

Well, that was a resounding success. Redneck Beer Darts, for the win.

Damm St. Cloud fans and their not being about to hold their alcohol.

Thanks to all the lodge people that came over, hopefully everyone had a good time.

I'm sure if said St. Cloud fan drank less it wouldn't be a problem.

I also developed a new drink last night. Which Brent and I have named The Journey, only because a Journey song was playing at the time when I made it. No one would believe that it would taste good after just hearing the ingredients, but somehow, it worked. Brent told me to mix him something since I was at the bar, so I just starting pouring stuff together, and out came this drink. :D

Do you remember what was in it?

1/4 American Honey, 1/4 Ketel One, 1/4 Sailor Jerry, 1/4 Schweps Lemon Sour, and 3 dashes of bitters, garnished with a cherry.

I didn't actually want to know, I just wondered if you remembered it. :p

Sounds like a waste of good Ketel One to me. ;)

That St. Cloud fan kept the alcohol down. Nothing back tracked. :p

The Masters might be the greatest sporting that there is. I absolutely love it.

Yeah, I think a lower quality vodka should be used, but the Ketel was sitting on the bar, so that's what I used.
