Is calling Lowell "UMass" as ridiculous as calling Duluth "Minnesota"?

Absolutely. They were University of Lowell till the Commonwealth changed them and Southeastern Mass. University and made them both University of Massachusetts - whatever. (Lowell and Dartmouth respectively). My cousin graduated from University of Lowell and hasn't made an alumni donation since the name change because she said her school doesn't exist anymore. Also, they almost disbanded Lowell's team in favor of the "flagship." The flagship is not in the NCAA tournament right now.

I, for one, am not drinking tonight. I have to get up early tomorrow to...ummm...start drinking.

I was going to cut up more wings and start them marinating tonight, only to find that the wings froze in my refrigerator, so now I have to thaw them and get them started right away in the morning.

I'm having a Widow Maker or two, but that's it. Have to be at LWB's at 7:30 SHARP so we can meet you at 8am at the lot. I did buy some brats, and will have a couple extra for first-claimers. I bought some beer brats and some jalapeno brats from Von Hansen's. There should be 2-4 extra.

i refer to them as 'chiefs'. they were the lowell chiefs until the pc police created a RiverHawk.
