Did some driving around looking at areas to live today, on top of buying a new laptop (ugh. Old one **** the bed I think, freezes at the login screen, don't want to reformat it, which I believe would be my next step, plus I've been thinking about downsizing from my monster laptop to something smaller anyways). Found a samsung with 1TB hard drive and other nice features for 550 that I didn't want to spend, ah well).

soh, you got anything planned tonight? Let me know if you want to get together for some drinks or anything, I'm headed back from the Brandon, FL area now.

I totally would, but we are actually staying at a resort roughly 10 miles East on I-4 from Orlando. The only times I'll be in Tampa are Thursday and Saturday.

That and you're not as far away as you think... may take another 10 minutes to get in but its not the end of the world. Besides, most of the interesting things are on the Orange line. Waterfront is on the Green Line... L'Enfant may be a station away but if you're doing this on the weekend its a problem (train changes = more time)

On the other hand, I don't tolerate tourists crowding a train all that well and I live at Court House.

edit: and for the love of God, buy a SmarTrip card. 20 people crowding 2 gates with paper fare cards just doesn't go well

Little gII started swimming lessons tonight. In another class there was a group of kids and some were little g's peers from school and they acknowledged each other. Little g looked up at me with quivering lips and said "dad will I ever be like my friends?" f n a.

Poop. That feels bad. :( When Lil was liller he really struggled. Who else at 4 could discuss the trade routes of the VIkings or would want to? As he has gotten older he has found people that are into what he is, have like thoughts and aren't focused on what he can do physically (he was routinely run over in hockey and heard about it all the time). The children's librarian at our local library saw what he was reading and told me that in HS it would all shake out. There was a lot of pain before he found kids that liked what he liked.

Maybe the answer is no kids are alike in every way. Some kids are really good in certain physical things but even kids without a physical problem aren't all good. You might not be like your buddies when swimming but they might not be like you in (fill in the blank). Then focus on something that they are alike in.

Marty Turco's pads are hurting my eyes. Anyone else watching the game (it's on NBCSports)?

Need to finish my packing. Folks are coming by about 10:30 tomorrow morning to drive me up to Manchester, NH. Can't sleep in as I'm supposed to have my front door painted in the morning. The condo association has redone all the hallways - painted the walls and put new carpet in. Got a note on my door on Saturday that in order to finish the door painting, they need to be able to have the door open. There was supposed to be a note as to which week. Naturally it was blank. Had to call to confirm it was this week since I'm going to be gone for 5 days. The only time I had available was 8am tomorrow. They should be done by 9:00-ish. I hope. Kinda wanted to sleep in a bit tomorrow. Guess that won't happen.

Antipasto for dinner tonight. Probably the healthiest thing I've eaten in close to a week. I eat like a complete idiot at times.
