Good Morning, Lodge!

Thank you for letting me rant. Newest one. Scheduled another "interview" with a pediatrician. Find out they are going on maternity leave in July. At least that is minor and I can ask who they would recommend.

Last bit: my wife and I have like Mendakota Pediatrics in WSP. Don’t know if that would be convenient for you or not. PM or email me if you want any more info.

It kind of blows me away that there is no attempt on the other practices to help you and hand off.

Good Evening Lodge!

No kidding. When the ex and me were in that phase, because of the different cities we lived in (about 20 miles apart, so depending on where she was staying), we had a few references in case of an emergency. The default was set, of course, but...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number

You’re ahead of where I was before LGF arrived. Didn’t even think about a pediatrician. We got recommendations from the hospital staff, and we got a great one. Even the other docs in the same office are great; which is another thing to think about. If you need to be seen, and your doc isn’t available, you’ll end up seeing whoever is available. Be sure to think about the staff along with your doc.

Also know that maybe who you end up going with may not be a fit once you start making visits. You can always switch.

They are highly recommending finding a pediatrician before baby is arrives. The plus side is that we found a couple of other doctors at the same office that sparked our interest.

If helps, great. If not, ignore me.

My wife’s OB was Dr. Amy Fisher, Alina Women’s Health clinic in Eagan. That group of docs delivers at Children’s United in St. Paul. We liked the doctors and the antepartum nurses. The lactation consultancy at that hospital is subpar.

We are with Health Partners/Park Nicollet and are setup at Burnsville. The plus side of the car accident back in December is that I do not have to pre-register as I am already in the system.

Where in WSP? I am on the south side of Eagan, so my focus is Burnsville/Apple Valley.

In our area they always recommend finding a pedi and connecting before birth but there is always a pedi on call who comes in to examine the baby, do the circ (if it is getting done) if the chosen pedi is not available. I was in a hosp 30 miles away so the on call person did the initial and then we established with the other pedi when we were discharged. It is nice to know who you are going to but tons of people don't.

Good Morning Lodge!

Nasty day here. chilly and rainy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number

Ambitious first furlough Friday.

Reseasoned all the new cast iron using the Serious Eats method (results look nice). Replaced all the smoke detectors, wiring harnesses, and brackets. Cleaned the kitchen, mostly. Took apart the dishwasher and cleaned the entire assembly: arms, pump, seals. Ran a load of dishes. And raided the freezer to make venison shepherd’s pie (With some unconventional potatoes).

Relaxed with some some shepherd’s pie and a Dangerous Man’ Cabernet-aged tripel.

Oh, and note to self: Deep clean the dishwasher annually.

Stop! You make me feel shame.
I balanced the checkbook, took a walk, went over to pick up meat from lilnsl car at lunchtime. Sorted thru some pics from 2015, baked cookies and folded a load of laundry. then I made dinner. Mundane.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number

Hi there.

Went to Lowes to see about a battery charger, as my mower battery is low and has needed to be jumped twice this spring (which is a major pain the ***, since the battery is under the seat). I'm not waiting outside to get into Lowes. Sorry. Wound up getting lunch, and now I'm set to go cut wood in the back yard. Maybe sometime this summer I'll be able to have a fire and get rid of some of this.

It's supposed to be beautiful today. Partly sunny and 75. Yes, please.

A beauty of a day here, also. Have a Zoom Virtual Happy Hour later this evening, probably going to do it from my balcony.

And, uh, I'd get used to waiting in line to get into a store, at least for the next month or two. Seems to be the SOP for retail nowadays.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number

A beautiful day here too. There were wall to wall people when I returned from bike riding. And the cops were doing nothing (except perhaps girl watching). Of course they were NPS cops and all they are concerned with is that bikes come to a complete stop at stop signs.

Going to clean up the grills here this afternoon. Made do some weeding and mulching.

About 1/3 done, and mowed. We'll work on it tomorrow, and then chip away at it during the evenings. In a week or so, everything will be chopped & stacked, and I'll have the rest of the yard squared away.

They’re just north of 62 (old 110) and west of S Robert St.

We’ve only had good experiences with them, but I especially like Dr. DeVries. She’s in her early 30s, and is great at answering whatever along with explaining what she’s looking for during exams.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: Choose A Number

Doesn't that require math? ;)

Or did you balance it on the top of your head? :D

Quicken does it for me. I just click on the line.

Good Evening Lodge!

The men in my house are craving sports. First they watched sign spinning, then marble racing and now slippery stairs racing. Heeelp!

Glorious day here. We put up my little greenhouse, worked in the yard.
