Good Afternoon Lodge!

Trying to organize myself for the next few months- lifewise and $$ wise. If we travel as much as we could then I would be gone from home almost 40 days before the end of July. Not sure if I want to travel that much but the trips I would get rid of are the non-optional ones.

So, this Friday is my 20th anniversary with this company. Last week, my boss scheduled a team meeting to have a quick check-in for 2020 objective planning. She emailed to ask me if I could move a meeting at 11am tomorrow so we could all meet. I told her that time was blocked for room set up for an event, could easily wait till 11:30. Fine. About 30 minutes ago, she sends a meeting cancellation and added some comments. This is what I see:

SURPRISE – this is actually for [Scarlet'] 20th anniversary.

Brittany will get some cupcakes and we can celebrate [Scarlet].

Thank you.

Which is awfully sweet that they're doing something but I'm laughing because she just isn't good with the Outlook sometimes. And in case you were wondering, my review went fine. I just hate those things.

I always hated reviews. Not that I had many. That would bring up money and she didn't want to do that.

Congrats on 20 years, Scarlet! That's awesome.

I feel like a young'n with only 18.5 under my belt.

Found out why were so busy this week (my offsite building tends to not get news, or very delayed news): we're taking on some KC business, because everyone down there is too hungover (or still drunk) to come to work. Thanks a lot, Super Bowl! Grrrr.

My baby girl has been on the job a little over 4 hrs. She has a while to make it up to those numbers.

I had my "surprise" 20th anniversary get together with my team today and got THE BEST gift - a Statue of Liberty Chia pet! I love it! I'm going to set it up on Monday.

It was not supposed to be precipitating but as I got ready to walk the sky opened up with freezy and wet stuff in a mix. :(
