New Orleans is just where they have identified cases. The rest of it is still a cesspool only they aren't testing enough to know where it is. BE CAREFUL!! Act like the world is one poisonous pit and scrub up anytime you touch something outside of the car. Clean of the steering wheel and anything else you are going to touch to begin with.Ya. That's essentially what has been happening, from what I was told. Not going to chance getting stranded with canceled flights so old fashioned road trip it is.
I'll be raiding the boat inventory for some essentials. Going to try to plan my stops outside of the hotspot areas, and I will be bypassing New Orleans anyways, which is likely the worst between here and Tampa. Just another chapter in my career memoirs.
My SIL just texted me that she is in quarantine. There was an exposure at work - she's a nurse. She's getting tested tomorrow and should know by Saturday or Sunday. My brother has a split level house so she's closed off downstairs. I asked her if my brother and niece will have to get tested. She said no. I'm a little nervous, not going to lie. If she tests negative, is she good? Or does she need to continue to self isolate?
I'm debating about going food shopping early tomorrow morning. I feel like they may have more stuff tomorrow than Saturday. And Sunday it's closed because of (faux) Easter.
Apparently, my cousin's brother-in-law passed away (not sure from what) on Monday. Followed by my dad's cousin on Tuesday. No idea what from, but she went to the hospital throwing up blood.
My dad's uncle (deceased's father) passed away a few months ago. I guess his aunt is not doing well. Won't eat or take my grandmother's calls (they are sisters).
Home. Smooth sailing, cruised at 80 virtually the entire way (+10). Just shy of 13 hours. Light traffic, never any congestion. I don't want to do a drive like that again.
Sorry for your loss, les.
I always called BU the Beagles. BC and BU were the Eagles and the Beagles.HHT! The Beagles lost!!

Posted this on Facebook, thought I'd share it with you all too because I think it's funny.
So this quarantine has been an interesting experiment. I've never really grown out facial hair before because I look like a friggin hobo for the first week. We're now on week two where I thought the results would have gotten better with time.
So far the experiment has aged about as well as a bowl of milk next to the furnace.
