Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 99: You can get anything you want, at Fooper's Restaurant.

I think he's referring to all the tolls along the various expressways.
Ahhh. I came from taxachusetts. Most everything else seems cheaper here. Do you know how much I am saving on car insurance (no seriously....not just cause the commerical says so and I didnt even go with geico)

Probably. But tolls are half price if you have an I-PASS.

And if not, she's only looking at roughly $4.50 in tolls (each way). I'm pretty sure F5 tickets aren't THAT cheap. It's not like it's the CCHA Championship. :p

I have a fast lane/ez pass. Should I change to the illinois one, or will I get the discount just by changing my address. I found the "help" desk for the Ipass, really was only helpful for inspiring me to go on a shooting rampage.

Officially the weekend, and...

ITS SNOWING!! Skiing Saturday, then down to Philly Sunday for our last reg season rifle match, hopefully we'll make the conference championships, but there are some technicalities that make me think we won't be, who knows.

Case closed!! :p ;)
I drive a saturn and am an excellent driver - no accidents and no tickets.

Besides, everyone knows the worst drivers are the stupid minorities who don't signal and pull out into traffic moving at 60mph without bothering to yield.

You've got rep, thank you!

Great - thanks. I'll be chatting with him this weekend and will send him the request. Again, can't promise anything, but he's always happy to help out when he can.

I'm waiting to hear from my Thursday-post work drinking buddy. We haven't done our weekly Thursday drink in 3 weeks!! I'm off all my meds finally and I have a hankering for a martini. She's in day 2 of a 2-day meeting and said she might not be up for it. I hope she gets her second wind!!!

You get what you pay for. ;)

Morning, Lodge. Hurriedly filling out an application for a job that closes today :o

Ugh - I wish I had my camera today. There is a hawk sitting 4 feet away on the ledge of the library. It's incredible. He's unbelievably majestic!

The hawk probably wishes you'd stop ogling. :p

GE - I don't count cards.

Double post - I am going to shank someone if the noise level doesn't come down in the library. It's the f*ing library! SHUT UP!

I don't think just switching the address will work because the transponder isn't provided by the Illinois Tollway. Even the Indiana I-Zoom users are unable to get the discount. Only an actual I-Pass will get you the half price deal.

As for the "help" desk, welcome to Chicago. :D

Correct, you only get the discount with an actual I-Pass... and it doesn't matter where you live.

Please make sure someone videos it and gets it up on youtube when you do! Thanks.

Scarlet,
I may, or may not, go to F5 (not that my decision will, or should, influence you ;) ). Given the crappy play of the Gophers this season I just have less interest in the event. Also, it's likely to be a busy time for high school hockey and my kid's soccer team. If the Gophers don't make it (seems likely), tickets will be easy to come by.

I used to buy the package and had season tickets to it for years. We would end up having to miss too many games due to school and stuff so I started just buying single game tickets. I kinda wish I had kept the season tickets in the Club level though and just sold the ones I couldn't use.:(

Same boat here. We have HS tourney tickets and after taking several days off and spending most of the previous weekend at the X it just got to be too much.....and I much prefer the HS tourney.

Well, if I do make the decision to make the trip, I'd like to see as many of you guys as possible. Otherwise, why bother? :) I need to see how BU does the next couple of weeks before I start thinking about more seriously. They could surprise me and run the table over the next 6 weeks. I may make a hotel reservation now, just to have it - I can always cancel that. We'll see!

Well, if you come out, I'm sure I can get the family to trek over for at least one game. Same for winger. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 99: You can get anything you want, at Fooper's Restaurant.

On a separate note, with all the F5 chatter, do you go to the games, or rather will you go - and this directed at all the Gopher fans here - if the Gophers don't make it?

For 5 years (2004-2008) I went to all five games and really enjoyed every game even the non Gopher games.

Last year when the Gophers lost the play-in game on Thursday night I decided to sell the friday night and both saturday games in order to spend more time with my girlfriend at the time, her mom, and a really cute six year old girl who my ex is friends with who were in town for the weekend. Even though she is my ex now I have no regrets. It was a really fun weekend.

I wasn't able to find anybody ahead of time to buy the friday afternoon game which was Denver vs. Wisconsin. As others have mentioned there is the option of buying and selling tickets off the street before games but I firgure if I don't find somebody to buy the two tickets ahead time for a particular game and therefore I have to drive to the X I might as go to the game.

This year I have two full packages (all five games) like normal. I have really good tickets in the lower bowl between the blue lines so I've decided to continue to renew them. Not sure how many games I'll go to this year. It will depend on if the Gophers are playing, how busy the new girl is with work in terms of spending time with her instead, and if I find people that are interested in purchasing any of the games.

I think I figured out why I'm feeling so crappy the last couple days. I haven't had a good meal of red meat for about 4 days!
Someone, quickly, come get me, take me to either Fogo or Texas Roadhouse. I am suffering from acute steak deficiency disorder, and I need to self medicate.

I love Texas Roadhouse!!! There's one up the street from me. Their rolls are awesome. I'd take you if you were here. :) If you go, have extra bread for me!!!
