Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

You think I am actually packing my pants....silly monster. Althought I maybe able to go to the FF now, even if I just drive out friday night after work.
But you hate pants!!!

I didn't leave the office until almost 6, so I'm glad I didn't drive down there. I would have missed the gathering in the Olympia Club, and looking back at it, I wouldn't have wanted to see that game.
I got their late there Hammer, but it looked to me that Sparty was doing their Adrian impersation there a bit, only without the crisp passing that they have when they're up big.
There was a guy near our section at JLA that had an Adrian jersey... I was tempted to ask if it was you but chickened out. Looks like my cowardice paid off.

As some of the folks here can attest to... We did a nice job of causing awkward silence amongst the UM faithful.
Don't you think somebody would have pointed him out??? ;)

I do not own an Adrian jersey. I would have worn my Ferris jersey. Had I been there I would have told everyone who I was.

Yep.

Here's a name from the past you might remember Hammer. Ran into Bill during the first intermission of the Michigan-RPI game. Looks like he's doing good.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I can attest to this. Too bad WalMart Wanda moved away after the first, I would have loved to see more out of her. And as people were leaving, some very made up trophy-wife-to-be was whining something about "RPI? Who the f--- is RPI? Whaa whaaa whaaa".

I was happy to shout back to her, "RPI is the team that just beat Michigan."

Sometimes obvious statements are the ones that hurt more.

Yep.

Anyways, Off to go give the rub that will get me into student clinic, and then I'll see ya sometime in the Joe. :D

Afternoon Lodge. Time to suck it up, lose to Michigan, hang out with cool Wolverine fans, and make fun of the teenagers whose parents bought their 'M' t-shirts from Wal-Mart.

Oh, and probably put my fandom for the rest of the season on the auction block. :(

I liked the Sparty fans behind the alumni band at the game. Kept cheering for RPI is such ways that one could tell they were Spartys. Cheers like:
"give me a R, give me a P, give me a I, what's that spell? R P I"
My response was "unpronounceable acronym!"

"cool Wolverine fans"? Everyone knows there is no such thing.

Crap, I should probably get some work done. I have a bunch to do before inventory on the 4th, and only about an hour of work to do it in. Stupid team losing last night, forcing me to be on time for early game today.

Wow. That's special. I mean, I was cheering for RPI, too...but WITH the RPI fans doing THEIR cheers.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Something tells me that it's best to just not listen to the game today, and play the ignorance card until the guy I betted with brings it up. I think I should go back to sleep until the game is over, in fact.
*sigh*
Maybe it's time to just give up altogether and stop actively cheering for the Huskies.
I fear that I may need to seek professional help (or at least let out a whole helluva lot of Tech Once, Tech Twices) if this continues in the manner it's currently been.

EDIT:
Any decent team's fanbase looking for a short girl who knows a thing or two about hockey and is really loud?

GLI sucks and so does that awful, poor excuse for a hockey arena where it is played. What. A. ****hole.

At least RPI won so I was able to get joy out of seeing the dam wolverines lose.

:(

But ST is visiting tomorrow, so :D

*glares*
Really now, SV?
Really?
I know plenty. More than probably 78% of men in this country. I'm a Fooper, after all, and Houghton is the Birthplace of Professional Hockey :p

ok, here comes a few tests:

- describe the left wing lock NOT using Wiki as a reference and tell me why it destroys hockey
- walk me through a good breakout
- explain in your own words the most important fundamental of hockey

you pass these three tests and I'll say you know hockey. :p

I've been watching college level hockey for 9 years and I couldn't do that. :p
