Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 94: Holidays, tournaments, presents and snow!

Hi Folks

Ended up with 2 inches of snow, take that:D Its also the shortest day of the year, yea, days are going to get longer in a month or so:D

Good Morning boys!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here.

Successful party yest. Everyone ate a lot (thank goodness). Only about 8 inches of snow that stopped for the most part by noon. The luge run (driveway) was bare with the help of 50 lbs of salt- give or take a few pounds. The luge run next to the driveway had 15 kids trying to kill themselves by sledding down, over a jump and landing right before it hit the street. Good time had by all and now the house is ready for the next 4 parties....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 94: Holidays, tournaments, presents and snow!

Its going east of us according to local guys. You can always UPS leftovers to me:D
Well, it was a thought...
good friend of mine had his xmas party four years in a row where it snowed like crazy and nobody showed 'cept for neighbors who could walk. :p
Last yr it was so bad they couldn't walk....

If you have too much food and need to unload some, I'll throw myself on that particular grenade.

:D
Hardly any left. Sorry.

Well, Lodgers, she did it: my wife is now a graduate of Texas Tech University!

I took her away from her studies fifteen years ago, and she never finished her Bachelor's degree. Now that we've been in Lubbock for a few years, she went back as a full time student in August 2007 (with two kids!) and just walked down the aisle today.

A banner day.
Congrats to Mrs. WTW!

Good morning. I'm in the office, and one could shoot a cannon here and not hit anyone.

The local weather geeks are forecasting a significant 'snow event' late this week, which probably means four snowflakes and some dope from Oklahoma sliding off the road. :D

I have been praying/wishing for significant snow to fall on Christmas day so that I (and the g family) don't have to travel to the inlaws. Does that make me a bad person? :o :)

No! Selfish? Yes, but not bad. ;) I hope we get it too, my parents live on a great sliding hill. BTW, the 'ole eagle is (finally!) getting new skates, 'tis time to come out of retirement.

I should be home  but since my future at mother mining is in doubt I am hoarding vacation time. I will either have ~two weeks added to my severance or get a job and be waaaaaaaaaaaay out of policy on my balance to start the new year. :)

Forget the poll, where'd the CCHA Suspension thread go? (Haven't read back the six pages here to see)

I don't think it's a bad thing necessarily, especially since the holidays tend to be stressful enough without adding any outside craziness.

Checking in from the office. The new "me" is here today and I'm supposed to be showing her the ropes for the next few days. This should be interesting since I doubt I can fill 3.5 days worth of time with the things I do. Plus, it will severely limit the amount of time I can spend posting and g-chatting.

Make sure you tell her to keep her back to the wall, this helps prevent getting stabbed there. :D

Morning Lodge.

It is dead here today also. I look at my work IM chat list and out of the 50 or so people on there that I work with regularly there are only 2 online.
I have a feeling that I will little to nothing done this week, since I won't be getting responses from emails until January.
