Hey gang, my brother-in-law plays in his church's jazz band today so we went to a Lutheran service to watch him; no kneeling, padded pews, apparently no guilt, geez what an easy religion.

Protestantism is Catholicism graded on a curve.

Were Cigars and Bourbon the holy sacraments?

When I think of Lutheran, at least the church my mom went to, I think "doom, guilt and bad coffee." Apparently this is slightly more, um, citified

So, holidays are finally winding down, thank goodness, I'm exhausted.
I miss PB, and am quite ready for him to come back, but it's still another 10 days.
Went to my 8 y.o. bro's Mite hockey game today.. he was in net, playing their league rivals. Had an awesome shutout, made more epic by the amazing breakaway save he had against one of his best friends.
Best hockey I've seen in awhile.

The very first Lutheran church I went to had more of the firebrand-type pastor. We got sick of him because his sermons could run upwards of two hours, and the last straw was when the church handed out fake "dollar bills" with Jesus's face on them...uhh, yeah.

All is well. Regarding the inlaws, nothing worth repeating except that I had sweet front row seats to the three ring circus.

We don't have either.....but we do have another TV if she catches on and have both on DVD.

hahaha actually, Russell was at one of his games, but that's because Russell's middle child was on the opposing team
I think Ricky's got potential though, mainly because of his dedication. I realize it's a little early on (duh) but I think the kid has potential to at least be a decent high school goalie. It's hard for him though, because he's really good playing out as well (really fast), but the other kids suck in net. Kind of a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't situation.

He actually don't Ricky that he did a really good job, and that he was pretty darn fast for someone who usually plays in net.. (I think that was one of the days he played out)

I was baptized and confirmed Lutheran. I am not religious whatsoever, so when I am stuck in church I just try and focus on the music. Lutheran music = BO-RING!!
