Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

So far nothing I've seen in Minneapolis has been that bad (at least compared to Detroit/Flint/Saginaw). It's just weird when you think you're going to one of the whiter states in the country, and end up surrounded by Asians at school, do your shopping in what is apparently a Mexican ghetto, and live near a housing project filled with Somalian refugees.

Minneapolis is basically on par with Denver in terms of scariness, except Denver has more white people.

Minneapolis-St. Paul is the least white part of MN - there's a lot of Hmong and Somalian people living in the area. I think this area is at or near the top of the US for both groups (on a per capita basis anyway).

I believe it's top for Somalis and #2 for Hmong. I swear the majority of Somalis work at the Minneapolis airport.

Still snowing here. Not looking forward to going outside to clean off my car and shoveling out my parking space. Espcially given how I feel. *sigh* I may head back to bed to sleep some more. I hate being sick.

don't make me fly out to Boston with some homemade chicken soup. Get better, girlie. :)

1. And Mexicans
2. I believe you are correct. Might even be #1 for Hmong, also.
3. ditto

I think that I will go out to see if any restaurants are open for lunch. :) That way I can avoid more emails with questions from Frank Wilson about games from 30 years ago.

Good morning, Lodge!

Today the WTW tribe's heading up to Santa Fe. A three-night stay with a good book, a few cigars, and no itinerary.

Santa Fe: a nice place (for rich yuppies) ;)

I think I'm getting one, but I'm hoping my throat is sore just from the dry air.

I'm just not gonna say it. :p

Morning, Lodge. Got the tree set up last night, plus it snowed. Guess it is the Christmas season around the BPH household. :)

Hello Lodge.

I'm finally going christmas shopping today. I'm going with my mom and sister, which is good, because I have no idea what to get anyone, so I'll need help thinking of what to get.

I'm continuing mine today/tomorrow, and hoping to finish. Sister is taken care of, I know what I'm doing for my mom, and I can't get my brother's gifts (Christmas is his birthday, so 2 presents) until I get home on Wednesday, and as for my dad? Hell if I know...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

All the prep has been done and my wife and I begin hosting a Christmas Family brunch for twenty-six people in an hour. Might need a 'bloody' or two to get through this one.;)

I have rarely if ever been afraid while living in Minneapolis. I did spend 16 yrs in North Mpls, so a few things happened. But that's to be expected when you live in a depressed area.

When is it going to stop snowing??????
What is this snow you speak of?

I have one gift left to buy, and that's for my mom. I have to buy it tomorrow since I am leaving town Tuesday afternoon. No idea what I am going to get her. It can't be a gift cert this year.

I haven't a clue what to get my sister still, but at least everything else is taken care of.

Get the refills ready, I'm playing Red Cloud's little game right back.

EDIT: Just kidding. He pos'd me, but I let him know he's been outed. GLM, you sure about him? Meaning, should I really avoid him at GLI, or should I march right up and introduce myself?

Denver didn't seem that bad when I was there for the Frozen Four, but I also didn't spend much time outside of downtown (or really even go out at night). I did manage to get a lovely picture of people getting arrested at a bus stop in front of the Capitol on a Friday afternoon.

I want 3 minutes back, I thought something interesting was going to happen.

Also, you seem To have Some weird capitaliZation Issues There, buddy. In combination with many run-ons, non capitalizations, and poor structure... On a scale from 1-10, I score you a "Rob Green" for writing.
Who died and made you The GRAMMAR HoRsE. :p :p :p :p :p

Introduce yourself. Its not like you won't have backup there handy. ;)
