Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

Spent the morning with the staff from the NICU. A couple of these doctors assisted little g during his helicopter ride moments after his birth. We visit them twice a year. A few of then had tears when they saw little g walk into the office without any assistance. They could not believe the progress he has made since May and most of them never thought he would ever do anything close what he currently does.
Way to go lil g!!!

Why not just buy a tub of lard and go to town?
Because they already had that for breakfast...

But you can say "cum-guzzling whore." :D
We've always been able to say "crazytechfan" :D

3......2......1......

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

Howdy Folks
Went to the Drs yesterday, saw the results of my MRI, pictures were very cool, what I saw in them wasn't. Definite tear in the front of the rotator cuff. Dr said I could live with it, that fixing it wasn't going to get easier or harder with time. Set up March 1st as operation day, generally a slow time for me. The worst part is 6 weeks in a sling, which means 6 weeks sleeping in a lazy boy:( , then 4 weeks of light duty and physical therapy.Expensive screw up on my part.

:( YUCK!

Good Morning boys!
Good evening commie!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! wobbly wednesday is here

Was at PTO last night and got the summons to my MIL bedside. Mr brought L'il over too (not what I would have chosen without a bit more prep). MIL not doing well and finally realized she is not going to be better. As she told me she thinks it is stupid how everyone always comes after the person dies and prays over them but no one comes before. Once she decided she was dying she needed every one there right then so she wouldn't miss anyone. Poor L'il was distraught as she basically said goodbye to him, everyone was crying all over the place and talking like she already died ('Oh, we will still see you', etc) but Grandma looks the same as she did last week. :(

Anyway~ prayers would be much appreciated for all involved- esp L'il as he just doesn't know what to think.

Good morning, Lodge! Despite the lack of sleep last night, I had a great run today. Looking forward to making asparagus and sun-dried tomato pasta later tonight...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

Hey, lodge- question for you- how do you reply to questions that you get in reps? I've gotten a couple, but am not sure the best way to reply.

Especially for the ones that I'm not 100% sure of the acronym- who they are...

Sorry to butt in, but just thought this would be the best place to ask.

Either respond to them with another rep, or post with the response in the appropriate thread, addressing the poster and their question.

Agreed. I can never rep the person because I almost always need to spread it around.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

Les, sorry to hear about the MIL. :(

Apparently not. Women here are chicken****.
I believe I've answered that question once.

Morning Lodge. My team won trivia last night, and they actually had Guinness at the "Irish" pub. Ate way too much, mostly 'cause the bf made dinner before hand. Pork medallions with a cherry glaze. Except, they weren't really medallions. I had to teach the boy a few cooking terms. At least he's willing to learn (and to cook).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 93: Midseason Excellence

wally: that sucks. Hopefully PT goes fast when you get there.

les: that REALLY sucks, especially for l'il. Good luck to your family!

Morning, Lodge, Snooze on an alarm is a bad idea, since it turned a 6:30 wakeup into a 7:50 wakeup. :o

Am I the last one to discover that Beer Pong was banned at RPI this fall? I assumed they meant the game. But, uhhhhh . . . was it you? :p

So, my sister tells me that at a certain downstate MI university that doesn't have hockey and should move up to D-1, they play beer pong using cups of water and a side beer. When the cup is made, you just move it aside and drink from your side beer. Makes sense on the germ-prevention end, but just seems bizarre to me.
