Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Happy new week, Lodgers.

So at my 6-yr-old's hockey practice they told us parents, If you want to bring your skates, come on out and help. So this week I did. I hardly know what I"m doing, but it's still helpful to have somebody stand with the kids, keep them lined up, and konk them on the helmet when it's their turn to go. Frees up the coach so he can actually work with them during the drills.

It's pretty funny to work with such young and clueless kids. Yesterday one kid wouldn't go, and wouldn't go. So I said, C'mon buddy, what's the holdup? "Well, I think there might be a drop of sweat or water on my eyebrow." All you can do is say, "Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes. What you do is, you take off your glove, and you take your finger, and you stick it through your mask, and you itch it." The kid looked so happy to have a solution. I think he really thought he was stuck. :)

The Hong Kong mites?

How easy is it to get ice time in HK?

Morning Lodge. We're still carving meat off the turkey so it has not gone in the pot for soup yet. That'll be later in the week. I'll miss the smokey tang from the ones I've smoked (just roasted this one) :( .

Morning, Lodge. 2 loads of laundry, a load of dishes, coffee's been made, and the kitty litter changed already today. Time to go to work...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Dentist appointment this morning to have a chipped tooth fixed. Doctor appointment this afternoon to discuss cholesterol.

:(

The dentist's wife had a baby over the weekend, and he cancelled all appointments. Now I am going on Thursday.

Don't say anything unless he broaches the subject first. Then you can only offer sympathy - if it's a job he wanted to keep.

the reason I ask is we share the van in Rapid City with another airline that is doing massive furloughing (they are down to 800 pilots from 2200) and there is really no hope of them ever getting their job back. Most of them seem to be in very good spirits. I just don't know if I would be in good spirits if the situation was reversed.

It's nice you to spend time helping out The Don and the Gopher hockey team. :D

Morning Lodge.

Survived the trip to Maryland and back with the boyfriend. Didn't even want to hit him or kick him out of the car.

Also, my nieces are adorable....but I'm happy to have no kids or pets and maintain my irresponsible lifestyle.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Good Morning Lodge! Hope everyone had a happy holiday weekend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Just checking in from the office. Decided 12/11 is "Notice Day," making a very nice Christmas gift for myself. :D

Edit - 12/11, not 12/10, as 12/10 is the holiday party.

Well, today is interesting. Was supposed to be priming the bathroom (where is the Rock Doc when you need him?) Mr did the ceiling last night and very early this AM. Just as I was organizing myself for the day (and still in my nighty) the guys showed up to do the floor. Hmm. That was a surprise. So, I didn't want to be priming anyway and now I am reduced to cleaning and laundry. Not a bad deal as I hate priming.

I think that is the answer to your question, if you have the time to stop at the bar. ;)

Excellent! We'll be looking forward to the posts that evening. ;)

Morning, Lodge. I guess I should get back to doing some work, even if I'm not actually AT work.

Morning Lodge.

Got my new shotgun paid for, still don't know if I should have bought it, but I don't feel to bad about it. My dad made a good point when he told me "if you buy this gun, you will never have to buy another shotgun in your life"...
Careful with any posts from PB... the girl seems to be posting from his account.
On facebook too, apparently...for those that are friends with him on facebook.
and Diva I have my account back
for now...

Nice Christmas gift! Good luck with wherever you end up after this ordeal.

Is it wrong that I haven't replied to the bf's relationship request on facebook, except to comment on his "in a relationship" status with "congrats, what's the lucky car?"

That is always a good sign

I see nothing wrong with that, but then again it has been proven that I am strange.

unfortunately they get a shorter overnight than we do. I mean, if it's the guys last day, I should anyway, but he does have a career to protect...
