What's your favorite food item that you know will be--or you hope will be--on the menu tomorrow where you'll be celebrating Thanksgiving?

For me it's the cranberries my wife prepares. :)

Day off today. Was going to spend it with the kid, but he went to a buddy's house for the day (he'll probably come back with Wii elbow:rolleyes: ). Wife is working, very rare day on my own.

Going to brine the turkey, go get some more Christmas lights and do a few chores - oh and renew my way overdue driver's license.

I am looking forward to everything. Since such a big group will be attending dinner there will be many choices. Turkey, prime rib, mashed potatoes and a couple different slices of pie will be on my hit list. Good thing the old stars and stripes have an adjustable waist band. ;)

More so than anything I am looking forward to hanging with family. We like playing games so I am sure I will be in a cribbage and/or a Sequence tourney along with playing multiple board games. If the weather cooperates we might even be able to get in a game of horse shoes.

I hope all of you have a fun and safe holiday weekend.

Mashed potatoes with gravy.
Stuffing with gravy.

Pecan pie (hold the gravy)

I can't choose a favorite - when it comes to Thanksgiving, I like to stuff myself with carbs (and gravy), and pass out watching football. That's a little slice of heaven right there.

mmm....broccoli casserole. wT like. I would be looking forward to that the most, but I'm not sure we'll be having it due to the sil not eating dairy. So this year I'll have to go with stuffing.

Oh, and chex mix! Chex mix is not served for Thanksgiving dinner, but during the holidays there is always a batch of Momma-wT's chex mix in the house. mmmm.

Howdy gang! Posting from MegaBus on the way to NYC. Or rather, the DAATCO bus. I guess there were so many people that bought tickets to the 10:30am bus that they had to get a 2nd bus. Got to the stop and there was an actual, double-decker blue MegaBus and a red DATTCO (which is the company that owns megaBus) regular coach bus. They loaded that one first. We didn't mind as we actually left the station at 10:05. On the Mass Pike, we got off a few exits before the Mass Pike/Rte 84 interchange which is usually the site of a major traffic fustercluck this weekend. The driver took back roads and bypassed that interchange and picked up Rte 84 wihout having to go through that mess. Though I wonder how bad it was at 11am. The Pike was moving pretty quickly.

Anyway, free wireless! W00t!

No pamphlets. That'd put me on the same level as the door to door religious people - granted, the message would be far more colorful, but I'd still be on their level. No thanks.

And nothing is on the menu tomorrow that isn't on the menu any other day of the week here - I work and won't be traveling. Lucky me. :p

...yes? :D I'm particularly looking forward to the turkey (mel's right, dark meat is best), mashed potatoes and gravy, Dad's homemade bread, and my girlfriend's apple pie. the kind baked with apples, sickos!

Morning, Lodge. The lady friend is down for turkey day, so I won't be around as much for a few - going to show her around the Cities and go see some friends.
