Did I not explain myself clearly?

Just because it's signed as rimbaud doesn't mean it's him, so kind of but not really.

'Morning Lodge. Day 5 of 8 at this subbing assignment. Friday cannot come fast enough.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Yesterday, I mentioned that the Code tag wasn't working on the USCHO Forum. I contacted Ed T who told me that they stopped a bunch of things in order to defeat embedded sound files, but he would fix it. Anyway, Code is working fine now. That's good.

However, although I have no idea what they actually did, all of the sound files that I have been inserting at the beginning of RPI score threads now start automatically. One example is post 2 of this thread http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?t=85912. I have specifically used *********="false" but now they start automatically . RPI's fight song and alma mater sound great together. :D

Edit: Now that is interesting. *********??

Good morning Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

In unrelated news, there's a good chance I may have the opportunity of a lifetime soon: we have a second site opening in Anchorage, Alaska. I e-mailed the chief engineer there, and he said he had the position open for over a year and I was the first person to show interest. He even would like me to come there as early as January if I could. :D :D :D
Go north to the Great Land! Replace the Alero with an old jeep (with a functional heater), pack your hiking boots, cross country skis, and get there in time to see the Iditarod start in early March. I love that town.

Plus, you'll get to see your Huskies play at UAA's arena.

Consider also that there is no state income tax, no sales tax on anything (a twenty dollar bill actually buys you a $19.95 item), and a state-distributed oil dividend check is given every year to every person in the state. Usually they amount to $1,000 or so, but last year's was $2,200. A family of four like mine would have collected $8,800 - not bad. Something to think about when it comes to cost-of-living calculations.

One more time in Wichita. We'll see if I get back to Denver today. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Morning Lodge. We finally got our peewee game schedule this AM. Our first game is next Tuesday, no time to fit in a scrimmage so the first game'll be interesting.

/Hockey dad-manager rant/
The schedule is out so late due to total cluster* by the District. District 6 has for years had Bantam games scheduled for 90 minutes with resurface after second period. Meanwhile the U14 girls games are 75 minutes with no resurface. Some parents of U14 girls objected to this discriminatory practice while the schedules were being finalized. District said OK, 75 minutes for both, no resurface. Started to juggle everyone's schedules to change game time length. Bantam parents said "wait, these guys cut up the ice bad, you're looking at injuries in third period without resurface." This past Monday the District board said, OK 90 minutes with resurface for everyone. They then had to rejuggle all schedules for the third time. Duh, they got to the right answer but way too dam late.
/end rant/

I just volunteered to manage my kid's soccer team for next summer. Why do I do this to myself?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Good morning from snowy Denver. With the bit of snow we received last night.....the snow being forecast all day today....and most of the day tomorrow the city and county of Denver are expected to receive from 10 to 20 inches of snow by late Thursday. The foothills and outlying areas closer to two feet of snow. Various mountain ranges [specifically the Sangre de Cristos] are expected to receive nearly four feet of snow.

By Halloween day the weather is expected to clear and temps be near sixty. Ya gotta love living in Denver. Good morning all. :)

Morning Lodge.

Ralph, awful about your cousin's kid. :(

My sore throat reminded me of the yummy tea I have, vanilla carmel truffle. After the first yummy half it is now actually tasting like tea (bleh). I think I need to take hot water and just add some vanilla and caramel. mmm.
