Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

8 AM isn't sleeping in :p

99.9% of the time I am up at 5:30 AM without fail. I average about 7.5 hours of sleep a night. On rare occasion I may sleep in but those are usually Crown induced sleeps which again might happen once or twice a year.

I want to post in this thread before it goes bye-bye and I'm not sure if I'll get back, so this is my post.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I was awaken at 315a this morning by girl due to a fine po-po banging on the door. Seemed to be he and a buddy nabbed some jerk walking down the street with stuff in his pockets that belonged to me and my neighbors. Dude was going into cars and stealing things. He took my quarters, and the garmin and quarters from girls truck. Girl got the garmin back this morning, but the cops have around $30 that they need to figure out who/what belongs to whom.

Hug a policeman today! ;)

To me the quarters are not worth being woke up at 3 am for. Go ahead and let him keep them and let me sleep!

Mornin Lodge! Made it home in one piece and have been rather productive the past couple days. Aparch thinks his mom is genuinely happy for us, I on the other hand thinks she has the whole wedding planned out in her mind and is about to start telling me  and I was hoping to not be a bridezilla :(

Unless she's paying for it, she shouldn't be able to insist upon anything. At that point, it's not being bridezilla at all.

What melmac said. You're not being a bridezilla for planning your own wedding. nmu_27's mom was REALLY excited for the wedding and wanted to help as much as she could. She bought a bunch of decorations and stuff and because I'm so nice I couldn't tell her no to any of them. We ended up using all of them in the hall, and I think it turned out really nice. Sometimes you can be surprised :) Just make sure if you really hate something, don't back down.

And then after the wedding she sent us a check to cover the credit card bill we had after paying for the reception bill.

Tripped and fell while running this morning. First thought I had after I landed on the sidewalk was "where's a Lodge Smokin' Hot? I need to get bandaged up..."
Be honest... that came after you wondered if anyone saw you! :p

What kind of truck does girl drive?
Why don't you drive a truck?

I will give you my opinion on Mil's. On further thought and on the advice of my attorney I will plead the fifth. :D :p

I think you should probably start drinking it instead.

No bourbon in the house.

Too late, I think Dave already finished it!

I do! Old Crow - got it for my 40th birthday. :)

Wait, go to Greyeagle's instead, he's got some.

I stand corrected, I do get benefits.

Was she drunk and horny? ;) Did she drink Dave's bourbon?

Speaking of things stolen from your car..
here's a good story.
So, Orientation week, I had all of my stuff in my best friend's car. I ended up staying with a friend that night, she ended up staying back at the dorms with another friend. Her locks don't work..
In the car: my laptop, 2 iPods (one of which was mine), a camera, her wallet (complete with SS card, etc.), and her chem book (roughly $230).
The next morning, we realize it's gone.
They found the laptop, wallet, & chem book in a bag on the side of the road about a week later, untouched.

Hmmm, I wonder if you live in the same neighborhood as my coworker. I got a call from her this morning on my way to work saying that her boyfriend's car was broken into and his ipod and ipod dock/charger were stolen. They smashed all the windows in the car (but left the windshield and rear windshield).

Thieves suck. I had a pretty nice stereo stolen from my dorm room when I walked away for 5 minutes... never did get that back. Glad you got your laptop back at least :)
