Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

Hey all. My face is now scabbed over instead raw open concrete scrape. It hurts less. Now I just need to think of a good story to tell work.

I head back to minnesota soon, finally.

Tell them the gf scratches a lot during rough sex.

Herpes outbreak?

Afternoon, Lodge - up in da UP. Didn't notice ctf at the game yesterday, I was too busy noticing how much our football team sucks this year.

Other than that, and the Mythbusters performance being overrated (no real-life explosions :() I've been having a good time. :)

I was very there.
I only actually played my BA! for the first quarter, as we're short on BA!s, and I was lightheaded. Not to mention, I can be just as crazy and loud w/o one.
I was also one of the Ace of Base girls, a crazyHansonfan, and I aided in "building the city".

Tech's perennially short of BA!s. :o I noticed the crowd of Hanson fans, but didn't take huge note of who was in it. Incidentally, as much as it may suck being in band on an 85 degree day (it doesn't :p), you'll be changing your tune when it's 20 degrees, 45 mph winds and sleeting. There's only so much that minty hot chocolate can hide :o

I didn't really spend any time by the band this time, but I'm not really familiar with most of the people there anymore. Spent a bit of time with MTUHatTrick84 and family (not as much as I should have), and most of the game with Flashy Man and nmupiccdiva.

Just put a tray of tomatoes in the oven with olive oil, a little balsamic vinegar and salt to roast.

Really installing printer this time. Half way thru and so far so good.

Good morning. Two HS football games last night, the nephews were 2-0 for the night and it could not have been a more perfect evening to watch the games. :)

BTW - I really like the new home network and genius features on iTunes 9.

I swear all printers are temperamental brats. :D
PC Load Letter??? what the **** does that mean?? ;)
oh, speaking of things I should have done... I accidently bought bratwurst instead of sausage because I just saw the cheaper price... i know I'll get no sympathy from the mid-westerners... but i don't think brats go with pasta and romano cheese.
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use Brats in the pasta there. and if worse comes to worse, do the brats as a seperate meal. :D

The ba!shortage makes me very sad. I'm considering going back to Calumet and just stealing my old one.
I would imagine this 20 degree weather will frustrate me, but really, you have to remember that I've lived here for almost 18 years.
I saw FM & 'diva when they were on their way in..
have yet to actually see what MTUHT84 looks like. lol.

Couldn't have been much better than my night watching GVSU sleep walk against Ferris. Oh, Ferris ties it up in the fourth quarter, guess we better wake up guys.  Granted on the drive to tie it up the Ferris QB had a long bomb that got them to the two where he was clearly past the line of scrimage. No call on that. I love GLIAC Refs!!!

Might have a last shot line on getting up to MTU next weekend. All depends if I can get ahold of some player parents from Toledo and if they're going up, and if they would let me tag along. Stay tuned.

Amazingly, Philbert has mellowed out a lot. At least, when he was around his family. He even left the game early (), though I suspect it was a lot easier when a) he could go back to staying at Van Riper State Park on a beauty day, b) the kid probably wasn't prepared to be out in the sun all day and c) the team let itself get raped with a 2x4, sideways.

The 20 degree, nasty game was actually kind of cool - we need to get GVSU one of those days. :D

And I ended buying a baritone off eBay for about $50 (and spent another $50 on basic repairs) when Tech ran out and I didn't want to use my nice one. After I left, I donated it to the school. They still have Baritone #Andy :o

The CBS hi-def picture seems so much better than FOX's. Is it because the game it outside?

As soon as the kid is old enough, Phil will probably be teaching him the tricks of the ref-heckling trade. :D

GVSU is easily the over all best traveling team in the league. You're better off having GVSU come up around fall color times just to get that extra bump in attendance. I know we got some diehards that would be there if Lake Superior is taking a giant white dump on Sherman Field, but yeah, people gotta get there you know.

I sorta noticed.
Broke my heart, as I was on a sports high after Calumet beat Houghton 63-0 the night before, and the volleyball team beat Houghton on Thursday 3-0 with relative ease.
At least it prepared me for the Packers today. Though, they just let themselves get raped by a zebra.

I actually wish I still played bari, just so I could make sure I get assigned Baritone #Andy.
