Where's the HMS Pinafore? (It's the one about duty)

Nope, The Slave of Duty is actually Pirates of Penzance. Pinafore is the Lass that loved a Sailor.

Both, however, are fantastic comic operas and very fun to perform.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Hi kids. Happy Friday.

Kind of a crappy day yesterday. 'ewe, we may actually work for the same people. Heh. Just issues with my client on two projects that made me feel like I did something wrong, or not doing something right or, I don't know. My Thursday night drinks with the hottie bartender friend bailed on me at 9:00am yesterday and I was like, no worries. I can stand to save some money. Then this drama. I grabbed one of my other co-workers, who was also having A Day and she joined me. Walked in and hottie bartender was like "Uh oh - is this a martini night?" It was. Only one, though. Stayed till about 7pm, then went to another place to meet some other co-workers and hung out with them till about 9:45pm.

So, my new manager had been out for the day and emailed to ask me how my day was going. I told there there were a few issues I wanted to chat with her about in the morning. Nothing serious, just some guidance on how this should be handled, etc. Spoke with her today and she is going to follow up with the client. By virtue of her position, it's her client, too. Anyway, I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, I'm glad she is my advocate but on the other hand, it sorta makes me feel like I whined to her and I should be able to deal with this on my own, you know? We'll see what happens.

Our office is being renovated this weekend so I'm actually in the middle of packing. They're kicking us out at 3pm so I need to finish up.
:(
I did end up going out to have a Guinness after work yesterday (and left the office with a stern-ish word to the associate who made me cry). I then didn't do anything on my to do list (nothing pressing really, tidying the place up, painting my toe-nails, finishing a few remaining dishes) and watched tv and played on the interweb.

Are you a singer?

Morning/early afternoon, to tLodge. Productive morning at the office (I feel better today than yesterday) and hoping for continued productivity throughout the afternoon.

I started school as a musical theater/vocal performance major, but realized that I didn't want to be a waiter or choir director, so I switched. I used to do a couple shows a year up until 2006. I haven't done anything since then. No time.

I'll have to check the script, but I don't think that's the next line. :p

Well, if you're talking about TWW, Ainsley and Sam were right in that the song was from Pinafore, but Pirates was the one about Duty.

Hello Lodge.

In the words of one wiser than myself: Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Alright, I'm bored today:
What's the one thread you'd love to see that Admin would never allow?

Mine is "worst poster ever". Between North Star, vbdog, nate91b, Phil Dupree... that would be awesome.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Mornin Lodge! Drive by on my way to work early again. Yesterday completely sucked oatmeal through a twisty straw so here's hoping today goes a little more smoothly.
That would be a very cool trick to see!!!

I think I get to see them next weekend. I have to go to a sucky baseball game to do it, but I guess I can live with that.

Banana Boat? Slow boat to China?
And it's not multiple choice. Shame shame.

Hyper and jittery and happy this morning.
Large caramel high rise from Caribou.
Weaned myself off of caffeine a while ago.
:D
Did you not see the option of the container ship? Where do you think its usually going?? :p

I know I'm sorry, I just couldn't hold it in.

I think she would understand, she knows that I'm easy.
You man-ho!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

I'm bored too, and unmotivated, which isn't very good since I have a design review to prepare for next Tuesday.

Last night I watched a bunch of 2 girl 1 cup reaction videos on youtube, they were quite funny. The looks on people's faces is priceless.

Afternoon Loj! (east coast bias) Found something "unexpected" in the crust of the pizza I had for lunch. Needless to say I got my money back, but the probability of my stomach contents staying below sea level is about 50/50. :(

My wife and I get fresh fish from local fisherman. We had a cod that was a wee bit too fresh on Tuesday. While filleting it, we discovered a good 10 or so roundworms living in the. They were STILL ALIVE. Still tasted good, and I think we removed them all, but man...

 Thanks. That's not helping.......

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Have I mentioned that I love you.
No...in fact, I believe your response to my girlfriend application however long ago I posted that was unsatisfactory.

Man slut. But, yeah, let me know if there's a game you're looking for. I still have to work details out with my brother, but I think he's trying to recover face value (and may be willing to part with them for less than that for games like Eastern or Delaware State).

Now I'm curious as to what it was. I shouldn't ask, but I will....what did you find?

Did they offer you another pizza? That's my favorite when they offer to replace things. I found a dead fly in my hashbrowns once and the manager came out to apologize and asked if I'd like something else. Umm...no...I do not want anything else from your fly infested kitchen where people don't even notice dead bugs in what is being served, thanks.

So if I mention the games I'm most worried about getting tickets to are of course the Notre Dame game and the Penn State game, you might be able to help me with that.

Gross!

Maybe. Also depends on how many tickets you want. For instance, if you want 1 ticket...that may be easier to acquire.

And if I decide to go out to Boston for hockey, Penn State tickets might be available.

Oh, and because I was curious, I found the response from that "USCHO female, let's date". thread

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Tonight, MEg, Bidco and I think some others are coming over for a while, then I think we're all going to do something later.

Aquatennial Block Party!! Do it. It's free, you'll have fun. Wish I could go - I love Lamont Cranston. :(
