Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

I was about 18 when I realized that sometimes, when people refer to "The Sox," they are referring to a team that plays in Maine or Massachusetts or somewhere. :D

Someone from out of state: Where you from?
Me: The Cities. Oh, crap, my bad. The Twin Cities.

Isn't Maine part of Massachusetts? ;)

(No, I am not that old.)

Morning Lodge.

I am to pinball as Charles Barkley is to golf.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

Good morning Lodge. Monday. Meh. Though - I got the last seat on my subway train and an express elevator to my floor when I got to the office. Both signs point to a good day. I do have to do a conference call at 6:30 tonight, though. One of our call centers is in Chandler, AZ and that time worked better for them. Trying to decide if I go home and call from there or stay in town, maybe go out to do something and come back to my desk.

s'upp y'all

if you want to be professional, be on time.

perhaps the "if you want something else it must be cheaper" attitude is part of it :)

didn't mookie read usa doctors make 6x denmark or finland of some place with great medicine?!? taking away the overbooking my be a step in that direction :p
The specialists make 6X, the FP people make diddly squat. Barely enough to pay of med school- why they have no one willing to do primary care. They payed us jack squat for seeing people and then put in a ton of ways they can dock the reimbursement- structured in a way to make it impossible to meet and do the job right. Good luck with finding a 'professional' that meets your needs. Maybe you find someone who knows what they are doing and practices good medicine.

Good Evening Lodge!

Having a yucky day. One of the people my age from Camp had 2 strokes last week and was sent home to die yesterday. (healthy and fine until last week. Has some type of cancer but don't know any more). Found out this evening the kid my uncle has known since birth (same name and age as lilnsl) is missing and has a Silver Alert out for him. The way he went missing doesn't sound good at all.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

Evening, Lodge. Well, got my money's worth out of that doc appointment today. They needed to take blood tests, too, to keep everything updated. Plus, they had a spare dose of med for me, so I didn't have to wait for all the back-end stuff between doc and pharm company for shipping a dose out here, which was nice.

dr should have their prices on a board, like..... burger king :)
let patients see and compare before deciding.

then if the patient doesn't feel better then they can trump them like bad contractors :p
see what happens when customers aint the ones who pay the bills :D dam 'insurance', dammit

Ignoring the above. Too much like old work. Almost re-re-re-retired for the Summer. Yay me.

Good Afternoon Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

In other news, my mother is dying. It won't be long, likely within the week.

She's been on home hospice for 2ish months and it's just been a brutal, steady decline. At the moment she cannot communicate anymore. There's still recognition in her eyes when she's awake (which isn't often), but I'm not sure how long that will last. Last weekend my dad and I went funeral shopping and got that process moving. My family has been up to visit and say their goodbyes.

The past few months have been brutal. I'm half dreading the end... and half desperate for it.
