Why?

Is that crazy that a 24 year old has a kid? Two generations of a 24 year old having a kid gets a grandpa at 48 years. At 24 years a person has been an adult for 6 years, and out of college for 2.

just the general reaction to being old enough to know people who are younger than me who are grandparents.

I have an aunt that was a great grandma at the age of 55. She had kids young, as did her daughter. Her granddaughter won the youngest title though with the teen pregnancy.

< math > If neither she nor her daughter was a mother as a teen, then her granddaughter was 15 when she had her first child. :eek: < /math >

Thon raises a lot of cash. But then again, Penn State fans are absolute self-important cultists. And like a real cult, they throw all of their money at it.

I had one family of pts who all reproduced before hitting 20. 5 generations of them. If God wants me to have a child I will..... and they did

Yes. My sister went to Penn State for her last 2 years of school (she started at University of Miami) and she participated in THON. All the big donors kick in for this. I donated 20$ about 8 years ago and I still get hit up for donations every year.

And yes, dx, is totally right.

A buddy and his woman brought their 3-week old kid in to the corner store for all of us to meet this past Sunday. Kid's adorable. Telling the parenting stories, of course. Kid poops, ok change diaper, gets another diaper, doesn't even put new diaper on, and then MORE poop, tries to grab a wipe while holding the kid's legs up, and then kid decides "hey, gonna pee on your face!" Mom then walks around the corner and sees all this happening, and just starts laughing. Buddy decides at that point, eff it, kid, you're getting a bath. Not wasting another diaper at the moment in time. Us older folks were laughing at him telling this story the whole time.

bubby had his oldest (who just gave birth) at 22. he has four and the youngest will graduate hs this year. he is also a statie and will retire in 3 more years at 80% healthy parked on the side of the road salary with full lifetime healthcare. if the grandson was smart he would follow grandpa to fla and enjoy a fun babysitter 23/7 :D

My college roommate knows me well. Got a box of baby presents from her - gender neutral baby clothes and nerdy baby books. The books include "Rocket Science for Babies", "Baby Loves Structural Engineering", and "I am a Zamboni Machine".
