So last night, my fiancée dumped 3/4 of a gallon of windshield wiper fluid into the coolant overflow tank. She then drove ~25 miles, and mentioned to me that she added windshield wiper fluid to her car, but wiper fluid wasn't squirting onto the windshield.

Her car is a 2012 Chevy Malibu, and runs Dexcool. GM has been notorious in the past for issues with their coolants not being as flexible for mistakes as the standard varieties. Is this likely to cause an issue in the short-term?

It's shouldn't hurt unless a large portion of it was sucked into the cooling system, but I'd get the overflow tank purged and add some fresh coolant to it as soon as possible.

Gloriously quiet on Mount les. Fiiiiiiinnallllllly no air scrubbers. House is now like a mash up of an antique store and derelict tenement. Waiting for estimates for put back.

Morning.

Dropped $900 to replace our barrier in the crawl space. In hopes of reducing moisture in the wood. If that fails, its another $3k for dehumidifier, etc.

If it looks like some of the fluid has gotten from the overflow into the cooling loop, then get a coolant flush, I don't think that it would cause damage if you flushed it right away, but I am not familiar with that specific engine and its quirks.

Even though it was a tie....I'm bellying up to the bar at the *HT. Not happy with that at all. Home now, watching the Opening Ceremony. I love the Opening Ceremony!!!
