Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #192: What DO you do, with a BA in English?

Basically, this. The menu is as follows:

-Onion somethings
-Jalapeno poppers
-Totally NOT Buffalo chicken wings
-Quesadilla
-Taco or Nacho-like thing ("Irish" nachos, "Potatachos")

-Basic burger
-Ooooh, a "firecracker" burger with some Yank "chili" and a couple shreds of jalapeno & mild pepperjack on it
-Club sandwich with a themed twist ("Cajun", "Southwest", "California", "Lampshade it by Making Fun of It")
-Chicken sandwich with a themed twist (available grilled for the alleged "watching my weight" crowd)
-Faux-exotic/spicy fish sandwich, with mediocre salsa or some BS like that. Also available fried or grilled.

-Themed pasta (plural in the case of Italian)
-Smothered chicken dish, typically also themed
-Steak
-Fish & chips
-Broiled fish topped with mediocre salsa for "diet" crowd (see sandwich above)

-Chocolate volcano/lava thing
-Twist on a basic sundae (brownie sundae, cookie sundae)
-Custard something
-Fruity thing for "dieters"

Don't forget the fried shrimp; at least that makes them off the table with FlagDUDETTE's allergies.

Good Evening, Lodge!

As hockey season begins, it is still baseball in my house.

Got some errands done today before the early MN hockey game (4pm start). Nothing really going on.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #192: What DO you do, with a BA in English?

Hi Lodge. Lazy Saturday. Did laundry, ironed (still have more to do) and catching up on lots of dvr'd shows. Five more hours of shows to go after the one I'm watching is done. Cooking lasagna for dinner (had pre-made and frozen it), opened a bottle of wine. No hockey tonight for me. It's warm out. Well, that's not why there's no hockey tonight. Just two separate statements.

I'm wearing shorts, sandals, t-shirt and a jersey to a hockey game. In Northern NY. In October.

The Florida in me is happy, and comfortable.
