Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

Finally home. My 7:30 flight was delayed to 8:35. Plane landed early so we were on board and ready to go by 8:15. Then there was a mechanical problem (a light was out, bulb needed to be changed). Didn't pull away from the gate till 8:40. Of course. Landed here in Boston and wow was it foggy. Now I know why the flight was delayed. Taxi to the gate, then get stuck there while waiting for another plane to clear the area. That took about 10 minutes. Got to baggage claim, waiting, waiting, waiting. Belt starts, not even our flight. Then I see bags from our flight and see my bag, and then the belt stops. Had to walk all the way over to get it.

Ok, now I have my bag. Get to the taxi line. It's longer than I've ever seen it. Plus, there was huge school group. Bunch of cabs come, line moves. Then six large buses come to pick up the huge school group. Traffic jam! More cabs come, no one can move. Just a fustercluck. Manage to get thru that and walked in my front door about 11pm. Yay. So looking forward to getting up for work tomorrow.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is here in our office today for a speech. Invitation with opportunity to watch in person went out a few weeks ago and I got picked. Looking forward to that.

Good morning Lodge, and Happy Friday! Also, it's payday - yay! Going to the Sox-Cubs game tonight. Should be a nice night, weather-wise. I hope I didn't just jinx it.

I get to go home and mow before it rains all weekend. And then tomorrow I get to go look at dishwashers. Yay.
