So I'm trying to figure out if BostonEwe is going out as a Gopher or BC fan as she's wearing maroon and gold...

She's going as the Alliance! (a reference only the old school USCHOers remember) ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

Talking an texting with my HVAC brother last night about my water heater issue, and he tells me that my heater could be fixed for $10-20 with a common part, the thermo coupler. Woo hoo! I then proceed to screw up the removal of the existing part, and get a tool stuck that I can't reach even with the long pliers I have. Sonofa...

It was a comedy of errors in the Clown house last night. Oh, and cold showers are, um, invigorating in November. My boys might re-descend by the time December arrives.

Morning, Lodge. Dressed as a Gryffindor while handing out candy and then going out for trivia.

Not much to catch up on here. There has been an epic amount of drama with my family and I'm thankful for a supportive husband and being able to come here for some laughs and pleasant conversation.

Have a second set of tonsils, do you?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

So my brother was very kind to me today, stopped by my house while I was at work and spent 20 minutes fixing my water heater. He bypassed the negative pressure sensor that shorted out. He suggested that I purchase a new burner unit, because everything's done as kits now rather than individual parts. He thinks I have two more years until I have need to replace it. I'm just happy that I could wash dishes without first boiling a pot of water and wash my hands without then having to put my hands next to the nozzle of my skate dryer. Oh, and no more frozen showers!

So on this Tuesday I got the last seat on the plane and next to the baby. He wasn't screaming much though. He got his squash on my pants though.

That made me chuckle. Haven't heard that phrase. :)

Thanks to the Cubs winning tonight, heading to a local watering hole to watch the game tomorrow. The game is not on cable, BUT, the watering hole I am going to has a very nice rare whiskey that I shall buy in case the Cubs win (Yamazaki 18).

Good morning Lodge. Let's see if my "Wednesday is the new Tuesday" theorem holds true today.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

Poured self leveling concrete in my bathroom. Was worried I'd screw this part up, somehow, but so far so good. Its not perfect, but its level, and since its just a surface to put tile on, it should be good enough.

HBT. HHHHHHHHHHBT.

Cubs. Friggin'. Win.

Had to hit 3 different bars to see the whole game, long story, but saw it. And there was much rejoicing. So much rejoicing.
