Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Good morning Lodge. Took the day off today, going to be in the 90s and humid. It's already really muggy. I've had the AC on since 7:30. I have a conference call at 10 - it was the only time everyone could meet.

Last night I got home around 6pm and there was a large UHaul truck at the pool gate. Looked like someone was moving out. The condo association sent out a notice a week ago that moves in or out could only happen between 9-5. I figured, if they were finishing up, fine. Saw a few guys, but for the most part, the truck was open, the gate was open, the doors to the pool area wide open. Anyone' could walk in off the street. Around 8:40 I walked down to the first floor and shut the doors to the pool area. Still no one around the truck. I was waiting because the pool area doors lock automatically at 9pm and your key won't work. Sure enough, at 9:05, two mover guys were down there trying to figure it out. Idiots. I think they were movers hired by the person(s) moving. Regardless, they should've been told. They wound up moving a few items out the front door, which is a major no no. My neighbor took pics and sent to one of the trustees. I hope the owner and his tenant both get socked with fines.

Good Morning Lodge.

So Scarlet this is your version of "get off my lawn!!!"? ;)

Look at the bright side, they weren't hunting Pokemons.

Not a day off!

This is similar to mr les version of day off. He has "every Friday off in the Summer. No, seriously." It is Friday, right? is he home? Nope. He is at work but "only for a few hours". Not a day off.

Fade, I just like seeing that JJ guy get going on the NCHC. His absolute loathing of the league is fun to watch because it comes with such immature whining. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

2 more work days. Today was slow, thank God.

Although...found out that when I'm on vacation, a manager is also on vacation (leaving the secondary backup of mine to be required to stay at the main building), so my backup will be hard up to get any help, similar to me this week. Sweet revenge. :D

Taproom, bonfire, good food, better beer on the schedule for tomorrow. Pre-Houghton meeting at church on Sunday, to finalize plans. Apparently, Hwy 2 in WI is flooded out at some parts, so we have to go diagonal through WI, instead of up to Duluth and head east.

I strongly dislike that Delta got shunted to LaGuardia-esque sh*thole Terminal 2 at O'Hare. Ah well, at least I'm home.

Oh, I know. I almost made a snarky reply to SiouxFanatic myself, but thought better of it. JJ's made his bed, let him lie in it.

Fun night! It was the second Comm Ave Charity Classic. A former BC player started this last year as a benefit for ALS and Pete Frates. This year they added the Travis Roy Foundation. Both Pete and Travis were there. It was at Walter Brown Arena, where BU used to play. Lot of current NHL players. No defense. :) BC won 13-8. Sat with Pittsburgh Penguins Nick Bonino's mom, wife and little baby. His mom invited me to the day they're having when Nick gets the Cup. Yay! Looking forward to that.

Doesn't this make you feel a little dirty? :p That sounds like a good time.

Good Morning Lodge!!

I hope you enjoyed your view from the top in the WCHA because it will be back to the basement for you guys. Aside from ASU and if the goofers ever moved over. :D

Good morning Lodge.

We have banners that now will hang forever.;) won't be a walk through the conference like the WCHA has been recently, but they'll compete.:)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Good morning Lodge. Spent the day yesterday at my friend's family cottage on a local lake (Mascuppic for les - I'm sure you know it). Beautiful day. My parents came with me. Stayed overnight and now are out to breakfast. Need to head home after this to go food shopping and I have to work on my mid year review. Have a meeting with my boss tomorrow on it. Ugh.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #186: Summer Heat

Good Morning, Lodge!

Went up to Cloud yesterday for a family get together. I made the banner for the retirement party. People were like "oh, so you designed it?" I go not only did I design it, I printed it, cut it out, reinforced the sides, and added grommets. That is just a normal day for me. Hopefully, my in-laws realize what I actually do for my job. They always ask about my side projects. Mainly how much money I make. Just for the record, not much. It is self-sustaining.

I am just looking forward to next weekend when HBK, DL, Mr. wore Black, and myself go to Milwaukee for the Cubs/Brewers game.

Mornin' Lodge.

Great day yesterday, hit up a couple taprooms with bbdl/Mrs bbdl, met up with soh/Vera, DX, and couple others later on. Had a nice fire, sampled some great beer, just relaxed and forgot about life for a while. Gotta do some churchin' today, to finalize plans for the upcoming Houghton trip, since one of the routes is closed due to flooding (Hwy 2 in WI). Saw some pics yesterday, and in some places, there is not a road there anymore.
