Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

Hey kids. Yeah, that was kind of devastating. Will take some time to recover from it. But I will. Because I'm realizing what a hell of a season I just lived through. I gotta say - do we know how to lose or what? No boring 4-1 loss for us!!

Siiiigh.

There was this Providence College couple sitting behind me and the wife was soooo annoying. Very mouthy, thought every time a BU player touched a Providence player there should've been a penalty, you know the type. At the end of the game, with the BU players sprawled out on the ice after just losing the biggest game ever, the husband yells "Get off the ice crybabies!!!!" Um, what?? The wife then yells at them to get up to shake Providence's hands, even though none of the Friars were in the handshake line. I really wanted to turn around and say "Act like you've been there before. Or wait, you haven't". The three BC fans in front of me were horrified. That's how bad it was.

Anyway....Christos Anesti! It's Easter!! I get to have lamb tomorrow!!
Christos Anesti!!
Jealous for the lamb. My favorite meat and Mr les doesn't like it.
I made a comment in the playoffs that it is like Church at Christmas. All the ignorami come out like fleas on a dog. Have no idea what to do, what they are watching and spend a bunch of time buying beer and sounding stupid. (well in church they don't buy beer....)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

and politico season is heating up. SIgh. I wish there was a filter for stupidity on the DVR

Good morning Lodge.

What an ending! I feel for that goalie though. Sports, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

Congrats and apologies to those of you that had a horse in the race.

There is: unplug it. Keeps all the stupids out.
I have a stack of unread books.

I feel awful for the goalie and his parents. Maybe more for his parents. THe team will support the goalie. Who supports the parents?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

Yes. His posts in the NU threads are like one long paragraph always whining and complaining about how bad NU is. I stopped counting at four the number of threads he posted that in.

Fellow voices of reason, talk me out of flying to Detroit for games 3&4. Because I'm about to book it, even though I'll be going to games 1,2, 5?, 7? In Tampa.

Back from Boston. Great trip overall. It was nice to finally meet mookie and Scarlet. Thanks for being great hosts!

It's good to be home. Was a great trip and St. Lucia is gorgeous, but at some point, you just wanna be in your own home.

This may sound odd, but 65 degrees ain't so bad right about now after 90+ and humidity yesterday and for the past 12 days.

Grilled out pork chops - also, at some point, you want your own home-cooked food.

Unless of course you suck at cooking...

And no talk is recommended. If one must speak, minimal small talk about sports or women is allowed ("How about those BoSox?" "You see that hot brunette by the bar?") etc.

While in school my favorite watering hole was owned by the parents of a good friend of mine. Anyways, they let me write the following saying in front of the urinals at eye level. "Don't look here the joke is in your hand."
