Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

If the Whioux won the title, so be it. Not my preference in the least, but it wouldn't set me off. I won't root against the Whioux in a neutral game (ex: my favorite team is MN and anyone who plays the Whioux). Never understood those people.

"Those people" are the vast majority of sports fans everywhere who root against their main rivals. As one of those people, who takes sports rivalries seriously (but keeps them in their context - not personal), I don't feel the least bit bad about rooting against certain teams when they play. I actually can't understand people who don't seem to care.

On the one hand you say you don't want the Sioux to win another title but on the other you won't root against them.

That's a fine line you're trying to walk there...

It is a fine line, I admit. If UND were playing UNO or RIT in the F4, I really wouldn't care about the game at all. But they are playing BU, and Scarlet/mookie/(now-retired) Quizmire are BU fans, so I hope BU wins it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

I can get behind BU, but typically root for underdogs or teams who have never won, so Providence, UNO and RIT fit that bill.

Between BU and UND? BU, but I don't really care all that much.

At this point, the teams (Minny, Mich and BC) that I really don't want to win it are out, so whatever.

If UND does make the title game, I won't want them to win, but won't actively root against them, if that makes sense.

Are you talking about the BU-Lowell HE Championship game? Because it was 6 years ago, not 5 and the non goal was not a game deciding goal, but a game tying goal early in the 2nd period.

Have you (hopefully) put Mr. les to work helping you out during laundry or something? Or is he getting in your way?
My whole routine is messed up. Usually he works 7 days a week so I do certain things when he is gone and wait for certain things til he is home to help. Now I have no idea what I am doing.

This. I hate when the commentators decide the game before the puck drops. I like when they have to actually pay attention to both teams.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

The East Region thread might be a mess tonight.

yikes. D I threads scare me. This is why.

OK I have a real question (sorry it is hockey related) that I asked in that thread but I ain't going in there again. This is probably the safest place to ask it because I am not flaming, I am really wondering. Outside of the Eastern bias does everyone think the Hobey is a done deal for Eichel? Not pooping on him. Truly a question.

The East Region guys are on about him non-stop but the Western Region guys seemed to be talking about some other guy and barely mentioned him. Our area is so saturated because he comes from here. Not looking to start a debate so much as wondering if this is a regional phenomenon or wider. Can't think of where I would find the answer without asking here.
