Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Good Morning, Lodge!

Former high school classmates, another reason why I am not on Facebook.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Does anybody here have former high school classmates pretty much collecting friends on Facebook? I just had my first exposure to that, didn't realize until after I confirmed. The woman and I weren't really friends in high school, and when I thought about it, the more it occurred to me that I don't think she and I really had any conversations back then. It's just weird, if it's a compulsion or not I don't know, but it's just weird.
yes. We had a huge HS back then I also have people who think I was in another class 'trying to keep in touch'. Only we were never in touch and not in the same class . I let those languish

Good morning Lodge. Heading to Wallingford, CT today. Waiting on a cab to take me to the airport's rental car center. It's gray and gloomy and drizzly out. Gross.

Still fighting a cold. It started last week, but got better. Then all of a sudden I'm congested again and my throat is scratchy. Still have remnants of my headache as well. I don't know what to take to feel better.

Yep. And unless they are entertaining or are doing something interesting I'll cut them. But usually I don't

I've had a few people that I barely knew in HS and college do it. I don't worry about it too much though, because it's just Facebook.
I'm not worried about it, just thought it was odd and was curious if it was a common thing or not.

Reunion planning, maybe?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I didn't bother making any friends in HS, so none try to add me! :D

I made some friends in HS, and I am friends with them on the social medias. Of course, others I knew from high school have tried to add me. But I didn't like them, so I never accepted the requests. The reason I haven't talked to those people definitely isn't because I haven't been able to reach them.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

People from HS have come looking for me, but like SOH, I just ignore them unless we were actually friends.

I've also purged a few times over the years where I get rid of peripheral "friends" and acquaintances.

My FB is mostly for sharing photos and info with close friends (current and past) and family.

Have no need for 900 "friends."
