Change of plans. There seems to be a place in Rogers MN (northern outer ring suburb of the Twin Cities) that serves...

the deep-fried apple pie/cinnamon ice cream that they have at the State Fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This changes so many things. So, a buddy and I are headed up there today for lunch.

Minneapple Pies are around at several places now. You can get them at Twins games, but then you'd have to watch the Twins.

I'd be interested in hearing about these other places. From what I know, the Rogers place is the first place that had these.

You can get them at any Kowalski's, the place in Rogers, that you're going, and at Target Field. So I'd say, just go buy some at Kowalski's.

That's the place that started them. Minnie's diner. Pretty awesome greek omelette.

Today was my supervisors last day, she's moving onto a new job.
One of the two best bosses I've had at Mother Mining.....gonna miss her. :(

Too funny. That's EXACTLY what I had. :D

And nothing like getting a call from your boss on your day off telling you to come into work Monday two hours early. I guess the system crashed today around 11am, and was down ALL DAY. That means no orders were processed for about 6 hours. Wonderful.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Dinner tonight consisted of scotch and Doritos. It was amazing.

Had dinner with the parents. Baker's Square. Meh. Getting them to independent/"different" restaurants is tough, though, especially my dad. He's the guy at the State Fair who just sticks to footlong hotdogs and maybe some mini-donuts, because he doesn't want anything "exotic" like say...porketta.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Yeah, but Doritos and scotch.

Doritos suck. No matter what kind you get, it still tastes like basic Doritos. Sorta like Hamburger Helper. It really just tastes maybe SLIGHTLY different. But it's really the same.

Then you're making it wrong. :)

Each of them has a secret to put them over the top. I'm not ashamed to admit I have a few boxes of HH in my pantry. I've learned the secrets over time.
