Well. I guess I'm done with work for the day. At home now. IT came to fix my new computer (2 of the 4 USB ports aren't working) and I won't get it back until tomorrow. Can't do any work without a computer....

Well, at home I can use the webmail website we have to at least keep up with emails on my personal computer. That's why I went home. And I am hosting a meeting in 30 minutes, that I can call into from home, so I won't be a complete waste. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

We have a webmail website as well that I can access on my personal laptop and iPad. But they added an extra layer of security and now I have to answer some security questions that I don't recall ever setting up but I must have a million years ago. I just don't know what my answers are. For example - it asks the name of my elementary school. I can't recall if I typed Brackett or Brackett School. You know, stuff like that. They ask three questions and tell you that you didn't answer correctly but doesn't tell you which one of the three is incorrect then it locks you out for 15 minutes. I've given up tring to use it. I need to call our Help(less) Desk to see about resetting it and I always forget when I'm at the office. Though I have just remembered and I'm here so maybe I'll do it now.

You could send yourself a reminder email from home.

What I do for security questions is I have one answer for all of them committed to memory.

Easy to remember, don't have to worry about did I answer it like this or like this, AND makes it impossible to figure out/social engineer since often said answer doesn't even make sense with the question. "What was your first car?" "Apple pie."

/and no, that's not the answer

Huh. Well that's interesting. I may give that a whirl.

Hey Brent:

You know that Pinball Arcade app I've told you about?

They just got the green light to start getting the licenses to do Addams Family, and they'll hold a Kickstarter to raise the funds when the time comes.

Hell. Yes.

The boy had his first two games of the preseason league today.

Game 1 - assist on our first goal and scored the game winner in a 2-1 game.

Game 2 - checked by a kid with an extended elbow to his neck area resulting in a broken collarbone. Preseason likely over.

He's bummed beyond words.

Yeah, yeah big picture... could be worse, etc...

Could be better too.

What pis-sah.

Ouch. His preseason is over just like the Packers and Sharon Rodgers season is over? :D

My hockey injury. When I was a junior I was flying into the offensive zone and was tripped from behind as I entered the corner. I flew into the boards and hit head first. I was Batman for a bit then I couldn't move my legs or fingers. Came to after a bit. Ended up cracking both collarbones and separated both shoulders. Yes both. Was playing up in Baudette. After I left the hospital the bus ride home was very uncomfortable. Had to wear an immobilizer for a few weeks. Not fun.

Other than that I didn't really have any injuries. I'm sure I had a couple concussions but was never diagnosed with such. I had numerous stitches over the years on the left side of my chin.............

I usually answer most questions with my favorite color or favorite sports team.

My Indian food turned out tasting exactly like the stuff I ate in India. So I guess it was a success!

So you made (Indian)tacos in a bag? ;)

And for those of you keeping score from home........iPad does not have multi quote option.

For only having one, you had a doozy.

Same sorta thing happened to me - heading into corner and got my legs tangled - flew into the boards backwards at full speed and slammed my back/head/shoulder into them. Knocked the wind out of me and I've had neck and shoulder nerve problems ever since. There's a hairline fracture in a vertebrae or something - can't remember anymore.

Couldn't sleep well for weeks even on pain meds as there was no comfortable position for my neck and shoulder.

Had I started my fall a couple of feet further from the boards, I'd have hit head first and probably broke my neck. It was a horrific impact, but luckily, I was spared.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I have never broken a bone in my body, and I've done some crazy and some stupid (sometimes both at the same time) sh* in my day. Like jumping out of 2nd story windows at tUMD into snowbanks, figuring they'd break the fall. No, I wasn't the only one who did it, the RAs actually had to pass out a memo to our floor reminding us that doing that was against the rules. It was a common happening. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I get a twelve hour day tomorrow. Plus, our department's joe lift is down. So, we have to rely on receiving to get the product down. Which means it doesn't happen.

I have no idea how many times I've said this, and have been disappointed, during my stint at my company.
