I had my firewater today at the OC. Might actually finish their mini-tour, as I bent the rules and got rid of the IPAs that were on the list.

My Indian food turned out tasting exactly like the stuff I ate in India. So I guess it was a success!

The boy had his first two games of the preseason league today.

Game 1 - assist on our first goal and scored the game winner in a 2-1 game.

Game 2 - checked by a kid with an extended elbow to his neck area resulting in a broken collarbone. Preseason likely over.


He's bummed beyond words.

Yeah, yeah big picture... could be worse, etc...


Could be better too.

Sucks. That was the only injury I ever had playing hockey growing up. Not much to do but throw it in a sling and wait.

Busted collarbones suck. Not more painful than other injuries, but it's near the top in annoyance.

Shoot, I busted mine playing in a summer league. Grandmother had passed away unexpectedly like a day before, felt it would be a good way to get my mind off things. Parents thought it was just a stinger, so I went around for 2 days holding my shoulder with my good arm before they finally thought it would be a good idea to get it checked out.

Imagine my 12 year old smart *****ed responses when we found out it was fractured. Heh.

Morning Lodge.

Well, Jr fanning on an easy shot in the slot yesterday pales in comparison to lil Gurt's game yesterday. I snapped my collarbone in a crash during a motocross race back in college. Prevented me from taking my planned summer job (couldn't work the grounds crew at the golf course with an arm in a sling) so had to sell the offending motorcycle at summer's end to make tuition for fall quarter.:(

Good Morning, Lodge!

Shorthanded at work today which means I am doing 3 people's jobs today. The probability of me snapping is really high especially after the Friday that I had.
