Well... some of us still have to get up and go to work! :(

Some of us even got up earlier than usual to go to work.

Skipping out of here around 2:30 today so I can get a quote on siding. My wood siding is at the point that it needs some minor repairs and the whole thing needs a coat of paint. Rather than spend the money to do that every 5 years (or find a tall enough ladder to do it myself...so not happening), I'm gonna get vinyl siding.

Good morning Lodge.

Everything omelets, English muffin toast, fruit, juice and coffee have been served for breakfast.

Yesterday little g II caught a northern. It weighed between 10 - 15 pounds . His little Toy Story rod and reel was really screaming!

So I just finished typing a post here about how a Comcast technician had just left because I've been having some issues with my modem throwing me offline and losing my phone service. I would have to reboot by unplugging and plugging it back in to start it up. One time is fine, but it was happening every few days. Guy came in, checked it out, checked out all the connections, etc. Everything appeared to be OK but he swapped out the modem and redid all the connection from the wall. Everything appeared to fine, I even test downloaded something from iTunes and it went great.

He leaves. I sit on my couch and type a note about it and so far so good. I hit Submit and nothing. I look at the connectivity thingie in the bottom right corner and see a red X. I go to my phone, no dial tone. Great. This is, like, 10 minutes after he leaves. GRRRRRR. But then it kicked back on. I don't want to call back yet. Will have to see how long it takes till it happened again.

I had 1554 before I ever had Widowmaker. Always thought they were similar.

Something being forgotten in all of this is that this group will drink the hell out of anything that is provided in the kegs. You'll be fine.

This better be true, we have 3 or 4 kegs lined up.

I'm sure your group won't have an issue drinking anything with alcohol in it. IMHO it might be the "older" generation that doesn't get it. Might have to have a keg of Busch Light as a back up to avoid a revolt. ;)

We have Miller Lite planned for that scenario.

Or for people you don't like. ;)

So the bride & I are heading to Seattle next week for ten days, went on the Delta site to make sure the times hadn't changed and for $60/each roundtrip I could update to first class......thank you very much. :)

Did you upgrade the wife too, or does she stay in steerage?,

She's back with the peasants. ;)

What's funny is her co-workers are asking if she's going to WA to get some ganja. :D If anything she will lecture those purchasing... :D :D

Well, if you're going to go out buying weed, it might as well be quality weed. They probably deserve that lecture... or is that not what you meant ;) :p

Good evening Lodge.

90 degrees and humid today with very little wind. Great day to play on the lake.

Very humid down here. Blech. Wanted to spend the night on the patio, but that wasn't happening with insta-sweat dew points.

I would normally prefer -10 versus 95 degrees and humid except for when I'm at the lake.

Ended the day by grilling a pork tenderloin and corn on the cob. Currently enjoying Makers 46. I ran out of cigars so I bummed a couple smokes from my neighbor. Mmmmmmmm Marlboro country. Not!

I love the 85-90, slight breeze, low humidity type of day. Might even go with 95.

Makers 46 is tasty. I have a bottle of Stagg Jr (look it up, trust me) that I'll be cracking tomorrow. No cigars though. Just my Marlboro Silvers (formerly known as Ultra Light 100s). Shuddup. That has been the closest I've gotten to quitting, since I started on Marlboro Reds.

Stagg Jr.? I will have to look into it. I have a friend who is quite the connoisseur. The other day he gave me a recommendation of a bourbon or whiskey and I cannot remember the name of it. If I remember I will let you know.

I haven't had a smoke in many many years. I smoke cigars every once in a while and I rarely if ever inhale. The smokes I had this evening gave me quite the buzz and I'm sure I looked really cool in the process. Ultra light 100's are WAY MORE healthier than reds. Ask les, she will confirm. ;)

George T Stagg is a bourbon that you have to know someone who knows someone to have a chance of getting it (see also: your Pappy Van Winkle). Stagg Jr is a lesser version of that, kind of rare (I only know of two stores down here that carry it). Way strong, but smooth (134 proof or so).

Cigars, you never fully inhale. Ever. And I know about how the Silvers are "better" than the Reds, I was doing a staggered degree of quitting. Now it's just a matter of cutting down (again) on the amount (currently 1/2 pack a day at most).
