Good morning Lodge and Happy Father's Day to all the Lodge dads!!

Heading to Birmingham, AL this morning for a site visit tomorrow and then to Charlotte for one on Tuesday. Looking forward to adding Alabama to the States I've Visited list.

We did get up to the north shore on Friday. Very impressive for my first time seeing one of the great lakes. I was actually quite impressed with the Duluth area, especially when compared to Superior.

We'll let the Sconnies know your opinion as further proof that their state sucks. :D

Rainy here, so don't know if we can do the usual holiday family grill-out. Hopefully there will be a small break in the weather. Other than that, it's been a pretty lazy weekend.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Head cold still continues. Now a cough is being added to the mix. I hope is subsides a lot by tomorrow as work this week is going to be crazy.

Happy pops day to all the pops out there!
So golf is cancelled today, not a big surprise given the typhoon in the Twin Cities. :D

Happy Father's Day to all you dads.

It has been pouring rain here since 2 or 3 this morning. This has got to be one of the wettest/rainiest springs in a very long time. Coming after one of the coldest winters on record. Viva la Mn!

Good thing there aren't any Mosquitos in MN. Could you image how many there would be once it really warms up?

We shall find out later this week as it is to get up to the mid-80's for the next few days. To add, the humidity is going to rise. It is almost similar to when Wisconsin flooded in 2008, except the rain is moving east. in '08, the rain bands refused to move onto Lake Michigan.

Well, looks like I'm moving. New place in Rochester (MI, not MN). Quieter neighborhood, walking distance to a nice downtown, a big park, Paint Creek & Clinton River Trails, etc.

Meeting at 5 PM today to hand over the check and sign the lease. I can move-in July 1st.

That pretty much commits me to Michigan for another year, at least.

Happy Father's Day to all the other dads.

I didn't actually watch the Monopoly game but I listened. I am flat on my back with the right foot elevated on a special cushion, for the next five weeks or so. I'm in the guest bedroom since it's on main floor. Wonderful way to spend the summer. I start working remotely part time tomorrow.

So when you're taking a break tomorrow, and asked if you're working, you can reply, "Not even remotely."

Which turned out to be a beautiful day, despite the holy-crap-it's-windy conditions. The Fifth was being pushed around a little on the highway...on dry pavement.

I always thought that the real Rochester was in NY. :)

Signed the papers tonight. Two weeks to pull my shiza together for the move.

Move July 1, called for jury duty July 8th, and off to downtown Detroit for another week of training July 21st. Isle Royale 2: The Search for More Moose tentatively set for August 16-20.

Busy summer already set to fly by.
