Good Morning, Lodge!

I somehow came down with a massive head cold. It is the last thing I need right now. I was planning on going up to St. Cloud today for a family reunion, but I guess that is not going to happen. Apparently, my MIL cannot understand the concept of being sick. She is giving me the guilt trip that I am not going up there. I cannot help that I am sick. I was actually looking forward to this weekend.

Offer to go as long as you can stick close to her because she will understand if you sneeze on her when others don't.

The main reason why she is mad is because she bought tons of beer and wine. Who cares? Her friend that I cannot stand is going up there next weekend. They can take care of it.

Maybe you should go visit her and snoogie all over her and then decide you are too sick.... That way she can be sick all weekend too....

So the new choo-choo is up & running on University Ave. between Minneapolis & St. Paul. Most of my neighbors are giddy, I'm just happy the gd construction is over.
Meanwhile it's a miserable day in MSP, glad I didn't go to da lake.

Can't imagine the building materials department at Menards is going to be terribly busy today. This is going to be a looooooooong shift. Plenty of time to get ahead on the training reading though, I suppose.

Survived the wedding... and so did the mil. Everything went well except for a snafu with the caterer. My daughter looked beautiful and even dear old dad turned a few heads! ;) They grow up so fast! Seems like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms.

And I'm pretty sure she won't be playing Monopoly tonight! :eek:

Even with this crap weather, the department sold 200,000 bucks worth of stuff. Even I, who knows next to nothing, rattled off 10,000. If only it were commission-based, and I truly worked in the department.

We did get up to the north shore on Friday. Very impressive for my first time seeing one of the great lakes. I was actually quite impressed with the Duluth area, especially when compared to Superior.
