I'll try and stop by your gate! Depends on location of my departure gate. I will be boarding about 2:40 or so. I'll be wearing a red Boston Red Sox hat.

Just got back from the Pride Night where they award all the scholarships. So Proud!! Lil got the top athletic scholarship for athletics and also an academic one too. 2K for the academic one That is so exciting.

Congrats!

Morning Lodge. Last morning with my current (non working) ankle. This time tomorrow I will be under the knife.

Good luck!

Will your pain pills have icing on them? ;)

Edit. Good luck to goldy jr in Alex this weekend. I'm glad we will be out of town as it sounds like there is going to be quite the number of people visiting over the weekend.

Sure, we'll give it a shot. Odds are I'll be the only guy at DFW wearing a Breckenridge t-shirt this time of year. :)

Good luck goldy, I remember when they took my appendix out, and the moments leading up to going under are the toughest, but you'll get through it.

Mornin' Lodge. Beauty day here for weather. Hope it carries through the weekend, although Saturday doesn't look promising.

Fiance and I went to the baseball game last night with Shirtless Guy and his wife. Beautiful night to sit and watch some baseball. T'was a fun time. The Twins have done an excellent job getting a huge variety of craft beers at that place. 4 or 5 different Surlys, a couple Summits, a couple 3rd Streets, Fulton, Indeed, Lift Bridge, Schell's/Grain Belt, and others. Also, we had food from the Andrew Zimmern booth, which was very, very good.

Good morning Lodge. At the gate waiting for my 9:50am flight. I live pretty close to the airport but because of the time of my flight and the fat that it was raining, I called for a car to pick me up at 7:30.

Depending on the length of my trip, I sometimes drive. But since my flight wasn't till almost 10 I was worried parking would be full. If it wasn't raining I was thinking of taking the T. No dice as it was pouring.

Car service guy calls me at 7:20 telling me he's in traffic, will probably be thre about 7:35-7:40 according to his GPS. 7:40 he calls, he's three miles away, GPS is telling him 5 minutes. Argh!!! I was going to give him till 8 and then I was going to call and cancel and drive myself.

He shows up at 7:56, not sure how he got there from the direction he did based on when he called but whatever. I told him not to take the expressway which was a parking lot but take an alternate route I knew. Which he didn't, but should as it was the route commuters were redirected to when they closed the Callahan Tunnel for 3 months.

This is kind of a low rent car service/private taxi. The guy was nice but seemed very fidgety like he either had too much coffee or needed a fix of some sort. I got here in plenty of time so no harm no foul but a somewhat stressful commute this morning.

On my way to the gate to have my coffee I walked by the restaurant/bar I'm the terminal and saw 3 people having a beer. At. 8:30am. Really?

Maybe it wasn't 830 am for them. I'm more surprised a place serving drinks was open that early.

A Cincinatti airport bar had a sign on it that read, "Kentucky law prohibits the sale of alcohol until 4:00 PM. That's right, you're in Kentucky." I don't know why, but that one has stuck with me to this day, 14 years after being there. My buddy and I were a little irritated by it as it was 3:30 and we were catching a 4:30 connection.

I don't think that law is in place anymore...I seem to remember having a beer with lunch at the Cincinnati airport a few years ago.

Also, beer at 8:30? Sounds good to me. You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Just got out of a presentation where IT was going over the new computers that we're going be getting later this year. They were covering the process for deployment, and the changes from this current version to the new one. And the good news is, people have pulled their heads out of their asses on 2 different items!!!! First, we're moving from godforsaken Lotus Notes to Outlook, second, the default internet browser is changing from IE to Firefox. YES!!!!!
