Morning Lodge

I've come to the conclusion that all women are nuts!
Well, duh!

I finally got the vegetable garden in yesterday. Today it is almost in the pond. It rained off and on since about 4 PM yesterday and the pond is up more than a foot and right at the edge of the garden.

I had been holding out hope for my daughters... that's all gone now. They're certifiable along with everyone else from that gender. Crazy women AND Wisconsin for a week... can it get any worse? :(

No craft beer to be found. Only Miller Lite and the High Life.

We leave in a week and a half... wedding on the 14th. My daughter is actually coming home tomorrow for a few days... her sister is planning a wedding shower. I've come to the conclusion that all women are nuts!

Well....yeah.

Pretty much.

Raised beds. (for the vegetables that is)

You are all living dangerously and if it took you this long to figure out......

My niece / Goddaughter's confirmation was today at the Cathedral. Whomever scheduled the confirmation on the same day as Grand Old Day did not think through the scenario.

Just back from the Sr Sports Banquet. Lil was the only boy to Letter all 3 seasons all 4 years. There was only one girl who lettered 12 times too. Very Proud!! :D :D :D

Take that all you ba5tard parents who said my kid wasn't good enough/would never be anything because we wouldn't spend thousands to develop our kid. They spent the dough, their kids were arrogant about being on select this or that and the kids never made varsity. Feeling vindicated!!

let's face it, you got lucky in that he's taller than his parents ;) :p :)

I generally agree, these youth sports development industries bother the crap out of me.

Kitchen was cleaned. Then chicken with italian seasoning was made, followed by meatloaf, and beans and rice. Kitchen is now trashed again.

Went to a graduation open house for a friend's son. It got a little cool out by the fire late at night. I think I've finally got the smoke smell out of the house.

Spend the day shopping around for a new water heater. The one we have right now is original with the house and is 24 years old, and the other day we noticed some black crap on the side of it. Talked to Dad about it, said that it might have been a bird or something getting stuck in its vent, but I went up on the roof earlier today and didn't see nothing there. Either way, I'm really thinking that it would be a really good idea to get that sucker replaced in the near future before it conks out on us at a really bad time.

And then tonight Mom gets a call from her hay supplier. Two wagons are coming in tomorrow morning. Lovely!

Get an inline on-demand water heater. Sure, it's twice the cost up front, but you're not paying to heat a 50 or 60 gallon tank all day long and you're not running out of water when your brother's taking too long "washing his hair" in the shower you're about to use.

Its something we have been thinking about. However, both my brother and I have had bad experiences with the shower up at the family cabin that's an older model tankless heater. you gotta have that thing really dialed in if you want to wash the trail dust off of you comfortably. A hair too low and you're freezing, a hair too much and its second degree burns.
