Wonderful weather... does this ever happen on Memorial Day?

On the third day of the deck staining. Went with a darker color and it looks much better. Worst part is that I am now getting the gaps between the boards and this is gonna take a while - BIG deck.

Is it too early to start on the cocktails?

Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Good evening Lodge.

What a great weekend. I can't remember the last Memorial Day weekend that has had nicer weather than this one. It has been nearly perfect for camping.

Looking forward to getting home tomorrow though. A bar of soap and a cold lake does the trick but a warm shower is going to feel good.

The weathermen keep saying "Beautiful weekend coming!" and the beginning of every week. As the week progresses they go to more and more rain. Today was supposed to be sunny all day until 2 days ago. Cloudy and raining right now. Great for planting but not for turning over the veggie beds. :(

Planning the party and I need 2 ovens, 2 kitchens, 2 fridges and at least 3 of me to do things the way I would like. I really need to stop thinking of things I should do and keep it simple.

Supposed to rain later today, and the air is really thick right now. Sunny for the moment.

Everyone's heading over to my parents' today, going to grill up some dead animals and have other assorted foodstuffs. This will be the first time Rubette's kids meet my family. Should be interesting.

Morning.

Thanks to all our veterans on this and every day.

I'm taking one for the team and logging in to work this weekend to kick off some processes. Not a big deal as its only 10 min of work at a time. But looks good!

Maybe you got our forecast. It is great here. :)

You can have my oven -- I never use it. :)

Morning Lodge.

Took 3 kids out fishing on Minnetonka this AM. I should get some kind of dad points for that, right? They're actually all pretty good in the boat though, one could save me if I fell in as she's a synchronized swimmer and swim instructor.

And Mrs. is home from PA!

Good morning Lodge.

The boys and I had a great camp. It was good to get home though and take a warm shower. Bathing in the lake was a bit cold as the lake was covered in ice about three weeks ago.

****. It was too hot the last few days, and it looks like it is going to stay that way the rest of the week. Crap. Why can't it just stay between 50 and 70, where it is actually comfortable?

Sitting at home for a couple hours this morning, then heading to the airport to catch the corporate flight to Indiana.

Good morning Lodge.

Hope you all had a good memorial day weekend.

I met NaSK's parents yesterday. They had just moved, so I felt kind of bad having them cook for us when they don't have a working kitchen yet. We had hot dogs and burgers on the grill. Their kitchen doesn't have countertops or a sink installed yet. I think I'm glad they moved, since they used to live at the cemetery. I've not been serial killed yet, so things are going well.
