Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I don't remember what day I graduated. I remember drinking too much at the DT, going to some house party with a friend and drinking more while some random guy I didn't know played 80's songs on an acoustic guitar. We were drunk enough that we thought it was awesome. Also, it snowed that day.

Nine years for me. I had planned on going out with some friends and enjoying the last night there after Graduation. But my family had all come up to help move me out, and then Mon and my brother took off leaving Dad with me, who had to be back home that night, so that ruined those plans. Had to finish up packing and check out.

Pickled eggs are just so ****ing good. And not the garbage you can get in stores, the homemade version. I'm talking Dog or B&B.

Just had a conversation with one of my buddies who is currently flying C-130s in Afghanistan, some of the stuff he sees over there WOW. His latest missions fly in humanitarian aid to the mudslide area.

One of my buddies is flying something much less friendly than humanitarian missions. Top Gun ****. He can't tell us what he's doing, but he's trained on the most advanced fighter jets in the AF.

I hope his lungs are all right. Good luck to him.

This was a few years ago, but a buddy made it to my best bud's wedding, straight from the sh* in Afghanistan. A couple of his crew were killed the week prior. He basically clung to either my bud, or me, because we were about the only people he knew. A few times he asked one of us to step outside with him for a smoke, as he was getting edgy around the strangers (basically, everyone but us) at the reception. It was odd, but very understandable. He would openly talk about the sh* he saw, but when it came to socializing he was not having it, in general.

I had a bud while I was in college that was in the national guard. He was called to serve for the Red Bulls in Iraq not long after the invasion. His job? Drive fuel tankers anywhere between Basra and Mosul.

Somehow the guy doesn't have a scratch on him. Crazy bastard.

Somehow I posted a post answering Scarlet and it never posted.

Scarlet- about the back thing- First- backs are very tricky and many providers aren't comfortable with them. Agree, sort of, with goldy- some providers do a crappy job of taking care of backs because to do it right it takes time and you need to know what you are doing. The back guys we have here specialize in just backs and would never just hand someone a paper. They also will refer to chiropractor and PT. That said...

The advice I give my patients is start with primary just to keep them in the loop. Chiropractors are first line treatment according to the World Health Org. Frequently they solve the issue. Beware that some of them will try to tell you they can solve your whole life, you need to have adjustments for life, etc. Mine thinks these guys are shysters. See if you can find a chiro that has a reciprocal relationship with an ortho. Mine referred me to my ortho who did a full work up and referred me right back

PT is great for learning how to do things for prevention

Massage therapy is what saved me. I go every 2 weeks. If I don't go then I am a mess. When I go, it keeps me loose enough (get your collective minds out of the gutter) that I can function. When I don't I get blinding headaches from occipital nerve stuff. I tell a lot of people to get massage regularly. It keeps you more limber than if you stretch alone.

Sorry for the delay!

My truck got towed Monday night. It was parked at Enterprise, because I have a rental car for a work trip. They said I can park it there....

Apparently the company that Enterprise rents this space from decided to repaint the lines in the parking lot, and didn't tell anyone. They had all of the cars towed, including all of Enterprise's rentals. ****ing *****s. The lady at Enterprise was very helpful and said they are taking care of everything. It sure sounds like Enterprise is not to blame, and since they're taking care of it, I have no problem with them, but what the hell was the owner of the building thinking? Do they not understand what Enterprise does?
