We never had a college fair, must be a private school thing. :p
We just had visits from college reps, and a big bulletin board with a calendar on it, with the schedule of visits. It was always an excused absence if we went to visit the "career center" to meet college reps. Worked well for us.

This was us too. We had a career fair which had some schools at it, but more so businesses. There was a time when many D-3 schools were heavily recruiting a few of us for hockey, and every time they stopped by, it was a prolonged excused absence. Talk about working well.:p

I'm exhausted. Tall cup of coffee to help me survive the morning.

Morning, Lodj. Had to get the Mrs to the airport by 5:30 this AM. Me tired.

Just saw a kid in the library with a Providence Hockey sweatshirt.

When we were in Hong Kong I saw a Michigan Tech t-shirt on a local high school kid; that got my attention. Of course I also saw a "Minnesota Department of Dentistry College" sweatshirt there as well -- perfect maroon and gold block lettering!

That had to be sarcasm. ...right?

No, it wasn't sarcasm. I think he's one of those who got a lot of red squares early for being a tool, and then decided that was going to be his shtick. Now it's a, "Oh yeah, I'm back, and I'm gonna say this tool-ish thing, cause you can't handle the truth!" bit. //shrugs//

Bachelor Party, dude! Tom Hanks! Adrien Zmed! Tawny Kitaen!!!

(I see what you did there, btw. :p )

Rudy: Let's have a bachelor party with chicks and guns and fire trucks and hookers and drugs and booze!
Gary: Yeah! Yeah, yeah! All the things that make life worth living for!

Rick: What the hell are you doing?
Brad: I'm slashing my wrist.
Rick: With an electric razor?
Brad: Yeah, I couldn't find any razor blades.
Rick: Well at least your wrist will be smooth and kissable.

Pain is such a rush.

Yay for half-day tomorrow. Hockey!

I got lucky, too. We only allow 2 people off maximum on any given day, and it also depends on the skills needed on the job. For example, the main offsite guy and I can never have the same day off, since we are the only two workers that really know how to run that show. One other forklift jockey had the day off already, for hockey of course.

Living your life is more important than work. Don't let them bastages dictate to you when you can have off!

Ha, I try not to. Also, having about 5 weeks PTO helps. By the end of the year, I am throwing darts at the calendar, saying "I'll take that day off, and that day off, and that day off..."
