Didn't you tell us this already? Regardless - congrats!!

So, new last minute big event in the office on April 22 will most likely mean me working while at the Frozen Four. Ugh. I will still be going, but I will most ikely be on the phone or iPad. Maybe will need to bring the work laptop.

It is odd that today is the same day my co-worker told me the creature growing inside her is a boy. MrsChickens doesn't work in Dexter Michigan does she? That would be weird.

I want to do my mom's taxes for last year, but I heard some advice for MN residents to wait until April 3 to file taxes if you haven't already. There's some change that's been made to the tax law. I'm completely ignorant of what it is, but it's for a deduction that something like 65% of all filers qualify to receive. I find it irksome because I just want to get things done.

.02 worth. Heard the same thing. We had our taxes done last Saturday and our accountant advised us to move forward. Apparently the state doesn't have their shiat together (no way!) and waiting won't change anything. Accountant mentioned that the software to adhere to the changes won't be ready and more than likely the state will be responsible to figure it out mainly because most of the info they need will be on the federal anyway. I'm not an accountant but that's what ours told us.

1) So given the actual poll of this thread.....I thought that Board had gone back to closing threads when they hit 1000. Guess not? Can someone start a new thread?

2) I've been here on this Board for, like, ever. And I've never "subscribed" to a thread. How does one do that and why would you?

1. I think they randomly close threads when they do a sweep of the board for some other reason (complaints about posters, etc)
2. I think "subscribing" is for people who don't really post or lurk a lot, so they get an email when a thread they've subscribed to gets a reply/more posts.

I subscribe but no email. Threads that have stuff that is unread show up in my user CP without having to search. Hit the little arrow on the left and it takes me to the last post I read. Faster than scrolling thru things. I thought Brent was the one that mentioned it in a post but if not it was someone in here about umpty upm threads ago

mnstateofhockey is...marginally accepted as a fan. He's quite divisive. I personally am staying away from D1 for at least this week as I have heard it all before, plus the newbies factor. It just burns me out. I'm just going to enjoy the fact that MN is in the F4, and it's against the team I hate the most (talk about storybook!), and the title game could be against the monster we both do not want to wake.

he's pretty annoying. Plus he was JDUBBS and sent me threatening twitter messages a couple years ago. He apologized for it but the kind of person it takes to make a fake account to bother people is pretty alarming.
