Jr shot 21/25 and 21/25 in his first rounds at State. Both PRs for him in competition. Shooting in novice he could actually win something with those scores.

Change of plans, forecast for Rainier was cloudy, so opted to hike to Wallace Falls instead. What a hike indeed, we're whipped again.

I'm out of here at noon Pacific tomorrow, it was a good trip.

Red 2 is growing on Mookie. First time was "eh", but after 6 times (tonight being #7) I'm liking it

What happened??

No trophy but he hit 61/75 which is really good for him. Spent time hanging with Nicole's kid.

Had a blast and out shot a bunch of kids from Edina.

ETA. What I had that kept me in the hospital was ileous.

That is no fun! The ileus I mean. The shooting thing is fun.
I had an ileus from my gall bladder. That is what got me admitted. Nothing went that way and everything came up that I had eaten, every 20 minutes, for 3 days. I was a bit dehydrated.

Went junk shopping today (antique shops), Rubette likes that sort of thing. I did find some good Americana things, and a great selection of old LPs (Beatles, Elvis, Fleetwood Mac, etc) but those things are not in the budget (any LP worth buying was $15-$20, and I would need to buy a good record player). I did buy a travel-size (about 6" long when folded up) cribbage board for $2; it was exactly like the one I had as a kid.

Then we headed up to a campground (Monticello for the locals) to see if an old friend (the guy who owns the place) was there. Very luckily, he was. His sports store in Mpls suburb of Crystal was how many of my non-hockey-board friends and I met, including the guy who intro'd me to Rubette. It was great to catch up with him. Might have to head out there to camp some weekend.

Edit: holy crap. One of the Americana things I saw is twice the price on eBay!: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/5hgAAMXQh8NTcU1j/$_12.JPG

Ack... Tossed up 4 wagons of hay today. not sure if its seasonal allergies or what, but my sinuses were kinda stuffy before I even got started with that, and I'm feeling it now. broke out the neti pot to flush things out, think that helped a lot.

I just kinda wished that I had been able to get in more running this spring with my back being messed up. one of our helpers was a freshly minted Clinton High grad how was on the football team. Pretty sure I would want him to come back the next time we get hay. had him with me in the wagon feeding me bales while I tossed them up into the hay mow. kicked my butt. It was a shower beer and pizza kind of night tonight.

Watching Brunch @ Bobby's on Cooking Channel and drinking coffee. You?
Copying pictures for Sr Night onto discs. (tedious), making Choc Chip Cookies for Sr night, laundry, etc. No rest for the weary.

ZOMG Michael Phelps is here today. Trying to find him....

Did you find him? I've determined that Michael Phelps was stalking me.
Evidence:
1. He's from Towson, I'm from Westminster, only 30 miles apart
2. I went to UofM, then Phelps came to UofM
3. I played in the Alumni band at softball games, Phelps played cowbell with the alumni band at a softball game
4. In 2007 my company sent me to China, in 2008 Phelps went to China.

So, clearly he's been following me. Could someone please tell him I'm not interested? Thanks.

I'm creating powerpoint presentations for a 2 day training session I'm putting on in New Mexico in 2 weeks. I'm at about 280 slides so far. After I get done, and I get a presentation from the service guy that is presenting one module on service, I have to go get all of these printed, and bound. Fun times.
