heh. He is going to UML. Really wanted him to look at other places but he grew up with it and really doesn't want to go anywhere else. Would have been a real problem if they told him he couldn't run there. I think he would have lost his mind.

Morning. Just had one of my company's boats get hit by another boat 5 miles behind me. No significant damage from the sounds of it though, luckily.

If you heard the sound of it from 5 miles away, I am surprised that there was little damage. ;)

Back to the grind today. Remote car starter did not want to start my car this morning. It is slightly chilly out there.

Yo. It's cold out. I have the day off, so don't have to deal with the cold. Yay.

Got my yearly Grasshopper Pie from my mom on Sat; wanted to save it for a NYE get-together, but didn't think the crust would stay crisp for that long, so tried freezing it. Took it out this morning, hopefully it works. It's soooooooo gooooooooood.

Dam cold snap has caused a bunch of cracks in our rink on the pond. We flooded last night and filled in about 1/3 of the cracks. Need to do more work on it but sounds like we'll get some snow again today. :(:mad:

Good morning Lodge. Home today, but will probably be doing some work, and I have a conference call I need to be on at 5pm. My brother flies back to LA this afternoon and my mom is making a big lunch so I will probably head over there. Doing some laundry and ironing and need to start packing for my trip to Salt Lake City on Thursday morning. Naturally we're expecting a lot of snow. The question is - when will it start? My flight is at 6:30am so I'm hoping it starts later in the day.

So my youngest brother (nine years older than I am) invited me over to his place for Christmas celebration. None of my other brothers were there, but that's another topic entirely. At any rate, while I'm there he tells me that the day after my mom's funeral he was laid off from his job. It might only be five weeks or it might be forever. I feel bad for him and his family, he's far from being well off but they're not overly hurting by any means either.

Well, on Saturday I was at another brother's house to drop off some death certificates. He tells me that our brother wasn't laid off, that he's suspended because he failed a drug test. He knew the drug test was coming up. They're scheduled for dates, but the employees chosen are random. My second oldest brother, who told me found out through our third oldest brother (I have four of them) who happens to be the suspended brother's pot supplier, was told the same story as I was from our suspended brother. At the time, supplier brother didn't know about the impending drug test. So the five week suspenion is likely set as the time it'll take for a person to clear out the Δ9THC from his/her system with a week to spare - since it's fat solluable and stores in the body for up to 28 days. That idiot. Here he has me feeling sorry for him and then I find out he's trying to pull one over on me and two of our other brothers. Supplier Brother has loose lips and wasn't supposed to say anything to any of us other brothers.

Looks like an extended stay for a couple more hours here in da bayou. Flight to St. Louis was delayed, and my connection couldn't be made. Rebooking me the last flight out, through NashVegas, but luckily no plane change. Gonna be a late night getting into Detroit, but at least I'll be getting there.

Edit: St. Louis to Detroit got delayed a bit more and now they say I can make the connection. 20 minute layover. I better not get stranded, or Southwest isn't going to like me. My bag better make it too.

Had the day off today and did some bowling with old high school buddies. It was dollar games; actually was quite pleasant!
