Just finished shopping. Haven't looked at the final tab yet. Not sure I want to.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Nervous parent duty.

Younger daughter had to drive to Philly to pick up older daughter who was coming in from Texas. Due to the storms, her flight out of DFW was delayed over 2 hrs meaning she was going to miss her connecting flight into Hartford and there were no other flights until this morning.

Youngest got lost (with a GPS) where the Garden State Pkwy and 95 intersect and lost almost an hour. After talking her through that I was wide awake, and pacing. She got to the airport in Philly around midnight. They pulled in here about 4:30 (she left at 6:30 last night).

The good news is my oldest is home for Christmas, though she's leaving on the 30th so won't be here for New Year's. The bad news is she brought along her boyfriend... who's from Wisconsin! Our first meeting will be when he wakes up in my house after that travel nightmare. And, yes, I have a plan...  ;)

Good morning to tLodge! ;)
I would have gone with 6 inches of a cold steel blade pressed lightly across his throat myself. However, he sounds like he might be a nice lad.

Knocked out Dad's gift, tshirts from Cabela's today. Wasn't nearly that bad of a zoo by about 4:30 when I got there. That and they was still pretty organized with the line there with an employee directing traffic. two tshirts for 32 bucks total. Only trick was finding them in 3XL sizes. Thought they did better about carrying sizes for the more Big and Tall crowd.

Just gotta pick up up mom's gift tomorrow before work and wrap it up there. Its going to be too big to really bring it in anywhere to hide it beforehand.

well im not sure what was worse today: the drive to Lambeau, Packer vs Steeler game, NFC North in general, the fact that the Packers are still in the hunt for the NFC North, or the drive home

Good morning Lodge.

Currently -15 degrees but it feels like -35.

Good Morning Lodge.

Office door was locked when I got here. Third time that's happened in the 1.5 years I've worked here. Some other early arrivers must be off this week...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Today is Monday and Friday for me! Work today and the rest of the week off. Heading to Wisconsin tomorrow for the long weekend. At least this time I am feeling a lot better.

My house is coated with ice, truck has 1/2 inch on it. Stand outside for awhile and you will hear a loud snap as another branch breaks off in the woods. Driveway is a skating rink, supposed to rain later. Not like 98 but this sucks

I'm a little irritated that Fleet Farm is being lumped in with Wal-Mart. Fleet Farm rules.

There is some similarity. As a shopping experience when they are busy, both are ridiculous. Isles too narrow, stocking done haphazardly, messy and unclean.
